ULPT Request: What are some conditions that would REQUIRE an oriechtomy?

Hiiii! Im a transwoman & to say that I utterly DESPISE the endocrine organ I was assigned at birth would be an understatement. Voluntary oriechtomies (surgical removal of the testicles), as gender affirming care for transgirls, takes a lot of money & red tape to cross. I'm hoping to... skip all of thatt♡ I'm not able to actually go through with it at the moment, because I'm not on estrogen to replace the sudden loss of test, but absolutely nothing is off the table when I am ultimately able to do this.

I saw a patient in the ER who got hit with a baseball so hard in the scrotum it “exploded” one of his testicles (surgeons words). They surgically removed it. It seemed to be an extremely unpleasant experience for him.

Poor surgeon /S

Pay a cannibal. Like a nice one who's into surgery and will use anaesthesia.

Start seeing a new general practitioner doctor. Tell them about your long long history with testicular pain since a trauma incident when you were a child (something heavy got dropped on them, or got kicked by a horse or something. After about 6 months to a year of seeing this dr and continuously complaining about the pain, ask if there is anything that can possibly be done.

This is one of those situations where you do not want to DIY. I would suggest looking into booking a vacation to a country with more affordable health care.

This entire comment section sounds painful

Keep in mind that ovaries also produce testosterone in cis women and sufficient levels of test are still essential for female biology. Losing your main producer of sex hormones without a clinician monitoring your hormones (or outright refusing to supplement test to healthy female levels) will have a strong impact on your physical and mental health. You’d essentially become post-menopausal x10.

Evidently, it can be a DIY procedure

its called orchiectomy in case your google searches turn up some website that is less than legitimate. I hope you find the answers that you are looking for and you are content.

Interesting that it takes red tape. My father had one teste swell without any known reason, and after several doctors couldn't figure out why, a surgeon recommended just removing it. No real paperwork issues, and a simple outpatient procedure. Of course, he was over 80-years-old.
I recently had a mildly painful issue with a teste, and again, the doctors couldn't figure out why. No tumor, just painful. We just let it ride, so to speak, and now it doesn't hurt; but one of the options presented was a removal. I'm over 65, with grandkids, though.
Not sure if that would work for your situation, but chronic moderate pain of the testes without medical explanation is possible - it happened to me - and removal was an option.

I would in no way recommend this but there is a method called elastration that they use to castrate livestock. It’s basically a very tight rubber band placed around the base of the scrotum that cuts the blood supply off. Wait a couple weeks and they just fall off. If you’re desperate and crazy enough I’m sure the supplies would be cheap enough and could be purchased at any farm supply store like Tractor Supply or Rural King.

Is this not extremely painful for the animal?
JesseB342@reddit
I honestly don’t know. I imagine it would be uncomfortable at first but after the blood flow was cut off it would go numb fairly quickly and once that happens you pretty much lose all sensation so there shouldn’t be any pain. Ever sit on the toilet too long and your leg falls asleep? It’d be kind of like that. I imagine the biggest issue would be risk of infection.

and infection is what we're looking for, in this scenario. Damaging them so bad they're unsalvageable or nuclear, rotten infection

The alternative it seems is smashing it with a hammer (° = °)

On the farm we would take this super sick thing called an elastrator and castrate the wool sheep.
That’s not at all recommended for human use, though. You could get someone to stomp your shit out in stilettos though
Skyblacker@reddit
I've read that if you choke them off with string long enough, the ER will have to remove them to prevent sepsis.
thenewfingerprint@reddit
You just need a hammer.
Biscuit9154@reddit (OP)
Look up "helve hammer vintage story" and that's what im picturing♡ :3

It's funny. I'm not trans or anything, but I absolutely hate having balls. As you get older, they just keep dropping and start hitting the water in the toilet, and they get sweaty and stick to your leg. They're just so uncomfortable. If they were simply ornamental and served no purpose, I would have had mine removed a long time ago.
myriadpyriad@reddit
Testicular torsion. It's an emergency surgery and,, if not caught fast enough,, will result in a loss of testicle. It can also kill you though
LifeIsTheFuture@reddit
Sufficient trauma will necessitate it.
I've always wondered if you could do to a human what they do to farm animals, but i DO NOT recommend finding out.
