Why do I have to unmount a drive to remove it in Linux, but not in Windows?

Seems like it could sync the disks or whatever automatically, whatever it is that Windows does to so I don't have to do that.

You SHOULD unmount file systems in windows using the "Safely remove hardware" option. If you aren't then you're fucking retarded.

I've used linux exclusively for five years, and forgot the safely remove hardware icon. But thanks for calling me retarded, that's real mature. Also, this was already covered yesterday in these comments. So you haven't told me anything I haven't already found out from somebody far more helpful and polite than you. Now fuck off.

Who the fuck gave you the idea that you could expect maturity from the internet.
