Kids first bike. Hi looking for advice regarding buying my sons first bike. Which option should we go for?

I work for Frog Bikes and have done so for 6 years now and can say with certainty buying a Frog Bike new or second hand or any other child specific brand is miles and miles better than any bike you get from halfords. With Frog’s, they’re child specific, they have narrow q factor cranks which make riding easier ensuring keeping kids knees inwards, the bikes are super light too and the resale value is pretty good. That also goes for Isla bikes who aren’t around anymore, Woom Bikes who are Austrian and are getting bigger in the UK. Squish are okay according to a few people and store’s i’ve heard from but when speaking to a few stores, they’re not what you would consider premium. At the moment, we have 10% off on first pedal’s and Hybrid’s and more offers on other bikes too. Also worth keeping an eye on our outlet bike range. They’re always new bikes but they have cosmetic damages to them but nothing over the top. Dave from Refurbished Frog Bikes is also a great place to buy a used Frog Bike. He’s a great guy and I can vouch for him. If new, I can recommend any of our stockists as they’re all great store’s ran by great people but one store I can recommend to the hills is North Bikes. David at the store is a super great guy, cares about bikes and kids and cares about the education side of it all too as well as selling our biked and others for quite a bit lower than RRP but being honest, knowing the stores over the last few years, all of them are great but I’ve always said, ‘look after you’re local store and they will look after you.’ You can find your closest store on our store finder at the top of our website. frogbikes.com Anything you need to know about Frog Bikes, please let me know.
