Any idea on the model of this truck I saw last night?

Saw it last night at the loves in Corbin KY. Nothing I can recognize.
Freightliner15@reddit
Looks like an International.
Money_Bag9370@reddit
I just saw the daycab version being not even out of the wrap yet… so I guess that name still stands

I thought that as well but the new ones posted online have a different front bumper cut out to the hood. I thought I heard about a new player entering the truck market and for the life of me can’t figure out who it was.
OddEscape2295@reddit
It's exactly the same as the one next to it. Only looks slightly different because of the wrap over the markers on the head light housing.
SycoJack@reddit
Nah, it's got a few differences. But like, that's expected since this is almost certainly an unreleased, and unannounced test truck.
Freightliner15@reddit
Go check out the new 5th gen Cascadia.
NFLTG_71@reddit
God, I hope not. The fourth generation sucks enough. What can they do make it shittier that in the fact, they just did a refresh on the Cascadia it may be a Kenworth.
Freightliner15@reddit
I found a pic on Freightliner's website and the way the bottom of the grill comes down into the bumper molding is similar. At least to me, it looks that way. That wrap kinda throws it off though.
NFLTG_71@reddit
But they just did a refresh last year. Why would they be doing another refresh again?
Freightliner15@reddit
I was just comparing the look of the grill design. It just looks similar.
NFLTG_71@reddit
The same could be said for a Volvo, but the grill looks like a KW to me. Has anybody looked at Peterbilt?
Freightliner15@reddit
You maybe correct on the KW. Just saw one that looks a little more like it. I've got a 26 Pete 579. Doesn't look like it.
whodat209@reddit
No, it’s not a Kenworth or Peterbilt. They just did an update on the 579 and the 680 that truck is an international.
BRICH999@reddit
ive heard rumors of scania coming stateside. they are owned by traton group which also own international. think there were a few spotted running around the country
Fucknjagoff@reddit
We have 10 International's with Scania engines. Fuel is great. We’ve only had one breakdown but we run local/regional. Pretty good truck so far. Drivers only complaints is that the cab is pretty small.
fucksgiven_zero@reddit
I can’t wait! I’ll be running a fleet on Scania! 🤙🏽
Good-Blueberry4530@reddit (OP)
Chat got said this :
That’s an interesting sighting — what you’ve photographed appears to be a semi truck prototype covered in camouflage wrap, the kind manufacturers use to disguise new designs during road testing.
From the visible shape and proportions — especially the hood contour, mirror design, and cab height — this looks very similar to an International (Navistar) long-haul tractor, likely a prototype for an updated International LT Series or possibly a new model variant (for example, testing aerodynamic or electric configurations).
The heavy camouflage and Illinois-style manufacturer plate further support that: Navistar’s headquarters and proving grounds are in Lisle and Melrose Park, Illinois, and their prototypes often test on public roads in that region wearing this same black-and-white swirl wrap.
MagTex@reddit
Good bot
LucHighwalker@reddit
The wrap on it is designed to hide the silhouette. This is an unreleased model getting tested. Congrats on the find.
Ayde-Aitch-Dee@reddit
Can confirm that the same wrap was seen on the brand new Ford Maverick when it was being test driven.
Shrekmedaddy91@reddit
That’s the point it’s a test truck it may not even come to fruition, I used to haul cars just like this all wrapped in camo to prevent people from seeing true curves and features etc. I’m gonna say Tesla because of the emblem spot and grill
Mindes13@reddit
Ghost truck. Manufacturer do that with new model redesigns so you can't get an idea of what it is.
It's an international though
bunkerking815@reddit
I suppose but that damn diamond hood emblem strongly evokes international vibes.
Nothing2NV@reddit
Nah looks local. Maybe Atlanta
AbrahamL26@reddit
Yup. That's my thoughts. Another note, this decal is so pointless, lights create shadow and highlights. All things you need to see the shape of the thing. Vanta black would work to hide any shape.
Fuegy2099@reddit
That would hurt my eyes if I saw it otr.
Gingerhick009@reddit

bobmonkeyclown@reddit
Must be headshot only, ran over plenty and I just got multiple felonies on my record instead.
MetalheadGod1@reddit
Its a Peterliner
ExcellentKey3354@reddit
Not sure but could be an International on left. That's a Freightliner on right
John9250@reddit
Looks like a new Kenworth. Just by the badge shape on the hood. Could be the International Diamond shape though
Stone_Ravenn@reddit
Looks like a prototype Kenworth to me that's why it has that the design on the outside to make it harder for cameras to define
mightypoo18@reddit
Looks like a peterbuilt 579 epiq
GayyyDayyy@reddit
I think Western Star. Defo Daimler family.
No-Cardiologist2335@reddit
According to AI Overview:
"This is an unreleased, prototype International Motors heavy-duty truck undergoing road testing, identified by its camouflage wrap and design elements.
The distinctive black and white "zebra" wrap is a common industry practice used to obscure body lines and hide the final design during testing.
It is believed to be a new model or major redesign for International, possibly a successor or update to the LT Series.
The truck was spotted in late 2025 in the US, suggesting it is undergoing real-world performance evaluations.
The manufacturer is International Motors, which rebranded from Navistar in late 2024."
Saint-Gerbilus@reddit
I dunno, but they definitely are trying to confuse enemy naval vessels estimates of distance, direction, and heading.
Tnov315@reddit
Western star is my thought
Practical-Team-7869@reddit
That side vent lets me know is most likely a t680
ImmortalEmos@reddit
It looks like a test truck. Car manufacturers do something similar when they are road testing
livewire167@reddit
peterbilt
Redlinelewis42@reddit
Compared to the international right next to it with the same manufacturer license plate id say that’s a pretty solid guess

I feel like the international sitting next to it is a pretty clear indication…
I_Am_Very_Busy_7@reddit
International is due out with a new truck in the near future, and this does appear to have their diamond shaped logo under the camo. It also has a similar grille to their most recent concept truck. My guess is it’s the new IH.

madpenguinruler@reddit
Yep thats an international
Reddit_Is_a_jokee@reddit
Starts with a "G" ends with a "Y"
Beekatiebee@reddit
The next LT, probably. I’m actually super excited to see what they’ve done, especially if they’ve brought over more Scania engineers and designers.
Could absolutely be the turn-around Navistar needed.
Viper_tx@reddit
They will probably switch to 24v just like volvo.
Snobben90@reddit
Hehe...
I work with R&D at Scania. Kinda excited to see what people think about the future...
SeaRow556@reddit
Would be interesting but regardless they really need to focus on the interior dash. And better sleeper configurations. It seems way outdated. But for a workhorse tractor its done well.
HumbleSituation6924@reddit
Looks like an international but the emblem looks like a mac thats been covered up
Kindly_Region@reddit
That looks like the camo the US military tested on a couple of ships.
whitecollarpizzaman@reddit
Logo looks like a Kenworth, probably a prototype based on the paint scheme, makes it harder for automotive journalists to leak information/get details. Much more common with cars, but I guess it translates to trucks as well.

It has dazzle camouflague to confuse enemy submarines.

I think I learned about this a long time ago and forgot. Thank you!! What a fun read.
NomadFire@reddit
I never thought that semi truck manufacturers would use these tactics to hide some aesthetics from car magazines. But here we are, I was obviously wrong
SawyerJWRBLX@reddit
why are paccar and intertrashional obsessed with making everything skinny and tiny it looks awful
Robjla@reddit
The truck next to it has the same grill. International
OnAJourneyMan@reddit
They put that camo on prototype vehicles when they do testing in view of the public. It makes the details harder to see. They do this in an attempt to keep the information on the vehicle under wraps.
Get it, under wraps?
SecondVariety@reddit
zebra print is usually a test vehicle, the designs are intended to conceal the panel shapes from photo capture...
Dejavuu_88@reddit
It looks like the International and Kenworth on both sides of it had a baby lol.

Yes, that is the next generation International LT. It was up in Chicago as of last week. They have a route through TN and KY that they drive.
Good-Blueberry4530@reddit (OP)
Yeah once I actually looked a tad closer at the first image I was like damn it’s almost the same as the one on the right. Just different bunk louver design.

the zebramobile
BloodyRedF30@reddit
This gives me Freightliner vibes. The mirrors, the side air vent on the hood, the sleeper size with the air vent door, the metal steps, all features from a Cascadia. The only thing different is the hood, the bumper, the headlights, and the roof design of the sleeper.
T3hIce@reddit
I don’t think it’s intentional because the top of the logo area l is flat. And the new engine the got this year bumped up MPG very nicely. I’m not thinking is Mac either since they just released a new sleeper this year. My guess is Peterbilt the 579 has been out since 2012 and that roof indentation looks the same just flattened. That wheel well looks the same and those hood vents look to be in the same spot also.
TactualTransAm@reddit
Whatever it is, it's testing so thank God somebody is actually putting a truck out in the real world before releasing it 🤣 I know they all do I'm joking around because man sometimes it feels like they don't
RealSharpNinja@reddit
The real question is what kind of fridge is in it?
antisocialwdwrkr@reddit
The new International VN T680. By Mack.

I know an ugly ass international when I see one
Traditional-Emu-7919@reddit
It looks to be a cross of a KW nose & Volvo cab/sleeper. From the Google search I did, I’m not convinced it’s a new gen LT. The LT has a slight indent at the cab/sleeper.
DrummingNozzle@reddit
Matches the lot lizard’s zebra striped underwear so they know where to knock first!
Lord_B33zus@reddit
Saw them the other day, obnoxious to look at.

Clearly designed to disorient and confound enemy boats as to its actual distance and heading.
Vic_Gatsby@reddit
Looks like international. I hate these things

She appears to have sleeper doors. I'm feeling Paccar, and leaning towards KW, but could be a Pete.

itdotennis@reddit
Clearly an International LT
Prankishmanx21@reddit
Looks like a yet to be announced International model. Look at the hood mirrors and the body lines around the grill compared to the LT parked next to it. That said it also has some Freightliner cascadia influence, look at the air intake vent and the cab shape.
