What's a silly thing you've acquired/have that you're proud of?

So my metro area implemented an NFC fare card almost a decade ago. I was part of the original beta test for it and still have my original fare card. My fare card is one of the oldest there is for the system and I know it's a silly thing but I'm kind of proud of that.

I found a little rope bracelet and put around my left ankle at the beginning of 2002. It stayed with me until it frayed and fell off in 2016. After that, I replaced it with an elastic hair band. It’s still hanging in there.

Must have been 87 then. It was first grade so had to have been the second half.

I have a chamber pot which I can sell for a bit of money but I think it’s funny that I literally have a pot to piss in.

My husband has PlayStation 1-5 and I’m proud of his collection. He only plays the 5 but I wanna play myst and he can’t hook up the original.

I have just about every issue of AMP magazine, and thus, an Emo/Punk time capsule.

I have a CDPD modem that has its static IP address marked on it from a label maker. If you are not familiar with CDPD, it’s Cellular Digital Packet Data - basically 1G. 19.2 kbps throughout and was in many cop cars back in the day so they could run a drivers license check digitally. For the techy nerds here, the backend was all asymmetric routing (using CLNS) which caused a whole bunch of issues, especially with roaming. It even had a 4” antenna, but I lost that. It’s in my tech graveyard box along with a whole bunch of other cool stuff that has zero value.

That is cool. I have a lot of retro tech also. Most still works too.
