Indian elephant grill in Dallas has been good. Al markaz in Carrollton is a staple. (I am brown)

If you're asking “Best Indian food in the DFW area?”, one really solid option is Tabla Indian Restaurant in Fort Worth. They do a good job with classics like butter chicken + biryani, and also some Indo-Chinese fusion if you’re feeling adventurous.

Elephant off Fitzhugh and 75. Hands down favorite local. The Punjabi butter chicken is legit

Have you tried the location on Beckley Ave?
JusticeRhino@reddit
Not yet. I’ll put it on the list.

I like Mumtaz in Richardson, solid little lunch buffet.

Mumtaz is a fav! We go there regularly!

Came here to say this. Love that place and the folks at that location.

Whatever you do, don't trust Google. A lot of Indian restaurants "buy" their reviews.
OkBet321@reddit (OP)
Yeah I trust this open forum much more than I do those google reviews
Sufficient_Box_2097@reddit
Wow thanks. There's one in Las Colinas so high rated that I was going to check it out based on those reviews alone
hammy7@reddit
Is it Sanjh? I actually think that place is good even though they buy their reviews. But it's way too expensive.
Sufficient_Box_2097@reddit
Yes, that's the one.

I’ve been quite impressed with Panj Tara in Frisco, next to the FC Dallas stadium

Mughlai near the galleria
hammy7@reddit
I dunno what's with all these downvotes. Mughlai is my favorite when it comes to food flavor. They also don't seem to "buy" their reviews like a lot of Indian restaurants do.
