Changing your diet to meet a fitness goal is a weird grey area I think unless it becomes detrimental to your health. During a cut it definitely is closer to one than not I will say depending on how severe of a cut you’re doing. If you’re eating at maintenance or above just because your food looks like shit like dude’s in the post doesn’t mean you have an eating disorder. Most people will never have to eat 100-200grams of protein in a day and unless you’re well off your options of achieving that number will have you eat a lot of shit like this. There are absolutely people out there who have a problem but this is pretty tame. I’ve eaten this before I’m guessing it’s just ground beef and chickpeas and it’s a cheap easy way to get a shit ton of protein in you. I avoid red meat more now so mostly just do fish/chicken and shakes but it’s tedious as all hell to hit that number every day you need and you kind of stop caring how you hit it somedays. It’s weird to people who haven’t done it but in the other hand you’re not starving yourself (unless in a cut/deficit like I said) or grossly gorging yourself so I mean at least they’re not harming themselves? In the flavor aspect maybe for sure but hot sauce and seasonings go a long way to make it more palatable

This is so reasonable I don’t understand the downvotes. Calling it an eating disorder to eat bland, unappealing food is seriously diluting the definition of eating disorder. However, I don’t think the line is drawn at physical health. I once met a guy who refused to eat a bite of cake at his 5 year old daughter’s birthday party. She kept trying to feed him a bite and he kept refusing, instead eating the peanut butter dates he had prepared just for himself. I’m not saying that means he necessarily has an ED, but I do think it’s quite a red flag.
My point is that the psychosocial consequences of eating disorders are often overlooked, especially when eating disorders can be associated with mood changes, irritability, relationship problems, missing out socially, lying, stealing, keeping secrets, going against one’s values, etc etc

You suggested looking into Orthorexia, and, as someone who had never heard of it before I think it’s a little disingenuous to suggest OP has orthorexia based on not caring about the taste of their food as long as it has high protein

1: orthorexia, from the few websites I looked at seemed to heavily fixate on the restriction of foods or food groups as the crux that causes the eating to be considered disordered. OP at no point even insinuated “I don’t eat vegetables because I’m so focused on my macros” or “I refuse to eat bread because I deem it unhealthy.” Hell, their mindset seems to be the opposite “I don’t care what I’m eating as long as it has the nutrients I need.” — for all we know this post was half their meal and just made for a good post considering the subreddit name
2: orthorexia is a proposed eating disorder and every source I could find listed it as having little to no research behind it and not even classified as a real eating disorder. The body of research surrounding orthorexia nervosa is being supported more and more with each research paper.
The DSM didn’t have autism until the 1980’s. It was in a published paper in 1943. Does that mean that the paper describing autism in 1943 was wrong? Does that mean that every research paper from 1943 to the 1980’s describing autism was “made up”?

Protein is protein. Back when my buddy and I used to train hardcore, we would get a couple McDoubles afterwards because they're 22g each. They also used to cost $1. Sugar sand hill sprints, rope climbing with added weight, squats, etc. After 3 hours of training, those McDoubles hit the spot.
