Lamb heart with salt & pepper lemon dip

I grew up in a Vietnamese household in Australia and my mum would sometimes boil cow hearts for one of her dishes.
I saw lamb hearts on sale today for $3 at Coles (Aussie grocery store) and I couldn’t help but snatch this bad boy up. It tastes exactly like cow hearts, but with that signature lamb taste.

Deer heart lightly breaded and fried, my favorite breakfast

Amazing. There’s no way we have bear fat in Australia, but if I ever get my hands on it I’ll try this out.

Heart meat is like really cheap but I don't know how much you are supposed to eat without something overdose.
We eat pig hearts quite often. If you cut them thin they take seasoning really well (not like in the photo lol), goes well with pepper and soy sauce.

I think heart is high in taurine, but eating enough to cause problems is pretty difficult.

The only real organs that might cause overdose issues are livers with high vit a.

Oohh I need to try pig hearts.
There was surprisingly a lot of fat in the lamb hearts. I could only stomach a handful of slices before I felt slightly sick lol

Heart meat is great, we regularly do moose heart when we get our moose

Terrible preparation. Slice thin and grill. Also season.

I eat most organ meat fried in lard. Love beef heart, lungs and tripe fried until crispy and in tortillas. Lamb seems like it would be much more delicate than beef.
