Out of interest what time roughly do you go to bed? When I worked 10-6 for a few weeks years ago I found it was the best sleep I'd ever had, I tended to go straight to bed when I got in and wasn't getting up until late afternoon.
Absolutely not. I wake up at a time where its likely I'll end up late. I throw on a clean pair of underwear and clean socks, then whatever pair of trousers don't look too dirty/creased and a whatever t-shirt smells clean. I then throw some water over my hair and beard, give it a quick comb so it doesn't look too awful and head out.
Sometimes my socks are genuinely a pair, but mostly there's two socks.
If I'm going in someone's house I'll wear clean trousers or shorts, if not yesterday's pair will be fne.
Tee shirts are always clean on in the morning, but if its a newish customer and I'm in their house I'll avoid overly derogatory tee shirts, but if you're a twat I'll undoubtedly wear the slinky tee shirt,...... "some people are like a slinky, not much use for anything but bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs"
Wake up at 05:45
Shower, teeth, get dressed etc by 06:15
Make coffee or tea for my flask, get my breakfast and lunch from the fridge and head out by 06:30
Drive to work, arrive in the office 07:30
Make up and hair at work, then I clock in at 08:00
I have tried so many different routines and this one has worked best for me as I get to skip the morning rush hour traffic.
I work in a factory 🏭, it's a clean environment (food packing), so hygiene is imperative, handwashing etc.
We get overalls to protect the food from us, fibres from our clothes, hairs from our bodies. We get wellies, plastic aprons, arm sleeves, gloves, again to protect the food from us.
So nice clothes is not up there on the ' what should I wear today ' list. We also cannot wear heavy makeup, false eyelashes, watches, jewellery or strong perfume. It might contaminate the food.
It is pretty cold, about 2 degrees Celsius, so I dress for warmth. And I don't bother ironing anything, there's really no point.
Hair is tied back and put into a hairnet, so no point having anything fancy done with that either.
I work in an office which is attached to a warehouse. I absolutely do not wear any good clothes because they’d get filthy and ruined! So it’s just jeans and a jumper to keep warm.
I work fully remotely and so most days I'm in joggers and a t-shirt.
On the one or two occasions a year, my team meets in person there is zero expectation of a dress code at all as clothing has zero bearing on our ability to do our jobs (software engineering). Everyone dresses as they do in their personal life. So I wear jeans and a flannel shirt.
I barely put any effort into my appearance for work, but thankfully I commute to the backend of nowhere that’s rough at hell, so i’m still overdressed if I turn up to work with a full set of teeth.
Wake up. Moan. Wife will ask if I want toast or porridge. Take a shit. Go upstairs. Eat. Make coffee. Talk to the wife for 15 minutes. Go back downstairs. Shit. Put on what's ironed and looks ok. Decide if I need another shit. Drive 30 minutes to work.
My place is upside down hence why I go upstairs for the kitchen.
Nope I am minimising effort in the morning by pulling on yesterday's t-shirt inside jumper in one go same with longjohns inside trousers. Ruffle hair with hands = good to go.
Work in an office. Before COVID, it was casual but trousers, shirt and shoes. During COVID that was released and it was jeans, t shirt and trainers which has remained ever since.

Me showing up is an achievement in itself. I don't worry about how I look.

By slinky t shirt I thought you mean something form fitting and low cut that shows off your figure. Disappoint :(
rev-fr-john@reddit
Honestly if you saw me in such a tee shirt you would as disappointed as I'd be ashamed.
Fluffy-Rhubarb9089@reddit
Haha you don’t know where I been 🙃

I only shave once a week and that's for when I'm in the office.
I get everything ready the night before so I'm ready to the 5 minute cycle ride to work.

Yesterday I made the slight effort to put my hair in a bun, within an hour at work the kid I work with pulled it out.
My routine is that I roll out of bed, but on the ugliest clothes I own, feed my dogs then go to work

I have a self imposed ‘uniform’ of sorts that I wear on workdays and in different colours. Saves me the hassle of thinking what to wear daily.
No-Outside-6437@reddit
I wear a shirt and trousers with a wool jumper in winter.
lavayuki@reddit
I wear work clothes because at home I always wear gym clothes.
For hair and makeup it’s the same as what I normally do, nothing extra or special for work
cgknight1@reddit
My work clothes are pretty much the same as I wear in my private life - trousers, shirts etc.

Nope. Work from home for a startup so wear whatever I want.
On the rare occasion I'm in the office, also wear whatever I want. They didn't hire me for my dress sense, they hired me because I get shit done.
