That's not supposed to happen.

I knew they built Toyotas strong just not that strong! Couldn't handle the torque of that 2jz
MainStWaterKey@reddit
I worked for Walmart and they were strict about no forklifts or walkie stackers in the trailer. Obviously it's too heavy
vemundveien@reddit
I'm not sure if it's a US thing, but I never was in a situation where driving a fork lift into a trailer was considered reasonable when I was working as a warehouse worker. Either the driver used a palled jack or opened the side curtain.
azurazwrath@reddit
I work at a auto carpet manufacturer abd they have never not drove a lift onto a trailer unless floor had holes also the us bottled water wharehouses have started using giant robot loaders that need the trailer perfectly straight in order to load and they weigh alot more then a forktruck 🤣
DanEpiCa@reddit
I've driven both in Europe and US and Canada. It's not a US thing, forklifts are being used for loading (as in into the trailer) all over the world. It depends on the warehouse and handled goods of course.
That being said, curtainsiders are really not the standard here in North America, dryvans are. Also how the trailers are constructed (very lightweight, no framerails) is very much different to European ones (framerails, more heavy duty).
JankyMark@reddit
Hold on So how they load and unload the trailers?
Josef_Kant_Deal@reddit
Pallet jack (hopefully electric)

This is why some shippers, especially paper mills that load the huge rolls of paper, look at the manufacture date of the trailer and won’t load them if they’re past a certain age.
c0caine_cinderella@reddit
Those paper roll mills are a huge pain in the fucking ass. One in Valdosta won’t load you if there’s any blemishes on the inside of the doors or first 10 feet of trailer. Doesn’t matter how new it is.
GlomBastic@reddit
I was in their inspection bay when fog rolled in. They rejected every trailer because of condensation. Couldn't even come back when they dried out because they were flagged defective/leaks.
c0caine_cinderella@reddit
I took one there with no defects and because it had been flagged in the past, even though it was fine now, they refused to load it.
GlomBastic@reddit
Luckily I was with a mega. So I got paid $75 for wasting morning and miles to move empty trailers around all day.
c0caine_cinderella@reddit
I was local at the time with flat rate per day pay but i was still mad

Side exit activated.
geneticdeadender@reddit
If only the driver did a thing where he walks around the trailer and looks for defects this could have been prevented.
Oh well. I guess there is nothing that can be done.
kitesinfection@reddit
I was once loading a trailer at a warehouse I worked in and when taking the first skid into a trailer the landing gear gave out. Entirely broke away from the trailer and I ended up going out the front bulkhead. It was the scariest thing I've ever dealt with, until a few weeks ago when my set skidded on 278 West and I almost lost control.
claptout_006@reddit
That just happened a few days ago at the dairy I pick my trailers up at. Honestly as bad as some of these trailers are I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often especially w the kind of weight they load in them

Can’t park there mate.
