5070ti vs 5080 for 1440p gaming/recording

Im finally committing to 1440p and Im wondering whether I should grab a 5070ti or a 5080? The goal is to record 1440p 60fps gameplay with ingame fps of around 120-144 in the new COD, with both running smoothly (highish in-game settings.) The CPU Im getting is the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
Would the 5080 be a safer bet? The price doesn't seem that different to me, just wondering it it'd be overkill or not for what I want to do (Probably not switching over to 4k for a long long long time) and if I should use the extra money elsewhere.

The 9070 XT runs BO6 really and is about 20-30% ahead of the 5070 Ti, so you might consider that card as well. COD generally is very well optimized for AMD, so if that is your main/primary game, AMD cards are a real contender.

You shouldn't get any performance loss when recording if you just use NVENC. And I'd just get the 5080, the performance difference in COD might not be that much today, but if you are planning to not upgrade for a long time, a more powerful card will hold up better.

I got the 5070ti and i run great on games at 2k But if money isn’t a problem i get the 5080

Rtx 5080 can overclock very well compared to an 5070ti. It even matches the 4090. Look up some overclock stats from some youtube video’s

I run an ultrawide 1440p monitor way over 60 and have no problems running any game with my 5070ti.

Watch benchmarks but from my recollection 5070ti was doing fine with those numbers

Yeah I've looked at a couple of those, my only wonder is if they're recording/playing on the same device. I know some people like to have a seperate pc for that
