Lexington KY?
howdidigetoverhere@reddit (OP)
yep!
rangeghost@reddit
I heard Maroon 5 on one the other day. Noped off that station in a second.
MajesticEmergency@reddit
I’m afraid of accidentally hearing “Hey Soul Sister” by Train again one day
Uhh_JustADude@reddit
Heard Pardon Me by Incubus on a classic rock back in 2020. Pretty sure I sprung a handful of new gray hairs at the same time.
BeefSupremeeeeee@reddit
Creed sucks.
thenoid42@reddit
Not in the Green Jell-O or Primus way, they actually fucking sucked from day one.
Patches_Mcgee@reddit
My people.
KaleidoscopeLegal583@reddit
Obviously.
Scrodnick@reddit
Nothing classic about them. They’re old enough for the genre I suppose
Feeling-Psychology80@reddit
Creed is a great band. Especially with Scott Stap leading the band.
TiEmEnTi@reddit
Because they suck
TiEmEnTi@reddit
They've been playing Creed on my local classic rock station since like 2003 lol
It's one the reasons you know they suck
TakingYourHand@reddit
Yes. 90s rock music is classic rock.
1965 was thirty years prior 1995.
1995 is thirty years prior 2025.
Cinderhazed15@reddit
So is what we think of as ‘classic rock’ vintage rock? Antique rock?
rekt_ralf@reddit
Oldies 💀
Imnotonthelist@reddit
I have a huge problem with the term “classic rock” being used to describe the music that was popular when we were younger. Not necessarily bc it makes me feel old, but bc it just doesn’t make sense to me to change the definition of something according to how old it is. Classic rock is still classic rock, grunge is still grunge, 90’s alternative, nu metal, etc. Those genres don’t cease to be what they are because they’re now 30 years old. Pardon my perimenopause, this shit just irks me
TifanAching@reddit
Reminds me of Futurama when they call the Beastie Boys "classical music".
Austaras@reddit
Garbage
Floyd_Bourbon@reddit
Yes, Garbage now also counts as classic rock, but we were talking about tye shitty Canadian band Creed.
bratikzs@reddit
Since you’ve called me out. I’ll tell you a joke.
How do you go to a concert for 45 cents?
You go see Fifty Cent with a Nickelback.
I’ll see myself out. Bye!!!
Austaras@reddit
Fine fine. Creed is trash.
ProfessionalCoat8512@reddit
What do they call actual classic rock? Fossil music.
MajesticEmergency@reddit
I’ve come to believe that Creed is actually a good band, and I don’t give a damn what anyone has to say about that haha
bratikzs@reddit
Nooooo. Say it isn’t so. Say this about Nickelback but not Creed.
Also, Green Day on a classic rock station along with Offspring is a major “WTF” moment every time.
IvanNemoy@reddit
Nickelback is the Wonder Bread of 2000's music. Functional, serviceable, inoffensive and devoid of real flavor or substance.
They made it big because they were so perfectly mediocre.
bratikzs@reddit
Now replace Nickelback with creed and the same applies, no?
the_well_read_neck_@reddit
Human Clay is an absolute banger from beginning to end.
snwbrdngtr@reddit
My Own Prison is an incredible album!
MajesticEmergency@reddit
What's This Life For is a really good song
elmoosh@reddit
The hell it is.
Greyhaven7@reddit
Creed has always been classic rock.
JHerbY2K@reddit
Totally. I’ve been rolling my eyes at them long before they were dads.
Ainu_@reddit
yeltrah79@reddit
Some time back I heard an ad by iheartradio pushing their new “classic rock” station. One of the bands they played as a sample? Rage Against the Machine
usernames_suck_ok@reddit
We know, hon. The other 10 times people have posted here letting us know 90s alternative artists are now on the classic rock station kinda gave it away.
Careless-Cap-449@reddit
No. I refuse. Absolutely not.
