Advice for DIY Christmas Gift

I want to buy hubcaps for my best friend’s car and then paint them pink as she’s customizing her car and just lost a hubcap. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing and money is a big factor as I’m in college. She drives a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage. I believe the rims have to be 14”?

This is the listing I was thinking of buying. I am familiar with spray painting techniques and will sand and seal when I paint. I want to paint them the correct pale pink because I can only find hot pink products. Any advice?? Thank you!!

Don't sand it with a rough grit or the sand scratches will show up in the paint. Use something like red scotchbrite. It will take a couple hours, but prep is key for the paint to adhere and not flake off. You want to scuff until there is no shine left to the plastic. Look into adhesion promoter. This basically slightly melts the surface of the plastic and helps the paint chemically bond to the surface.

A 2017 mirage with steel wheels should be 14" according to eBay and car-part so I don't see why they wouldn't fit.
