Looks good, who did the prep work?
traffic_pe@reddit (OP)
The owner... me, lol . Took 2 years, frame off, stripped to bare metal, epoxy, etc... and lots of block sanding, panel gapping.

That’s why it turned out so good, lol. IMO, the difference between a good paint job and a shitty one is 99% prep and 1% paint. Maaco does the paint part just fine.

Yep I completely agree, too bad many people dont understand what it takes to get a high end paint job... other than paying 10-20k or more.
Ghost17088@reddit
Too many people think painting is the important/hard part too.

I have an 87 Supra too, non turbo

Nice! Mine has been parked for a few years. Kids, house, moving, etc. have put most my hobbies on the back burner.

Been there... it gets better.

Nothing wrong with getting a Maaco paint job. Get what you can afford.

Exactly or what's in the budget for the build... they laid down the clear coat like glass. Awesome clear too Sherwin-Williams CC950 Appearance Plus Performance Clearcoat so its not cheap
TP_Crisis_2020@reddit
How much did they charge you? Mine wants 1500 for a cheap scuff and spray single stage job.
traffic_pe@reddit (OP)
More than double that, I got top of the line Sherwin-Williams CC950 Appearance Plus Performance Clearcoat
SirCrimsonKing@reddit
What clear coat did they use?
