GTA 6 is not going to be 'woke'. It just makes sense that in a city like Miami there are going to be a lot of latinos and black people there, because that is the demographics. So they are going to reflect that in their fictional Miami (Vice City). The only thing I am kind of worried about is if they are going to make this female character a boss girl in a very aggressively obnoxious way. I swear, as soon as she utters the words along the lines of 'you think I can't do this because I am a woman?' I will immediately close the game.

The problem with video game development is youāre looking at an average of a 5-6 year development time. Meaning that this game was most likely pitched and greenlit around 2019. Meaning they entered into developing this game at the peak of social justice media and headed in whatever direction they were heading. Meaning they had no idea how both the 2020 and 2024 elections would go or how public reactions would swing. So I wouldnāt be surprised if there are some story tweaks the same way a lot of movies had to course correct a bit.

I brought this up a few weeks agoĀ that for what essentially has to be the biggest media release of all time (just to break even) they still weren't having all that much of a media campaign for something nearly 6 months out. And that likely won't hit that date.
The union busting might be related in that there is likely a ton of crunch going on to actually hit some reasonable date and ramp up a media campaign and any kind of union talk that could slow this down is not going to be tolerated.

The delay was announced too soon from the firing. Most people expected this delay months in advance. The real reason is that the union stupidly tried organising on Discord, knowing how insecure it is, especially considering how uptight their security has to be considering the 2022 leaks. They gave Take Two a perfect excuse.

Storytelling. Rockstar has unfortunately turned the series from slapsick sendups of american life to some grab at 'serious storytelling' from GTA4 onward.

My 2 cents: There was a bit of something there that could be considereed woke or ugly with some well timed stills and perhaps that something even had too obvious meme potential as well so someone at the top who is very afraid of anything negative affecting their bonuses wanted it cleaned up.
Then they noticed girl bossing is not popular anymore so again a new redrawing of plans.
Why all this? I think it's because Rockstar is fixated on hitting that sweet spot again where kids too young to play will swoon about the game and young adults will be in heaven about how cool the game is and brag about it. They dont want any risks to that. e.g. a situation where say the kids are snickering to the adults about playing a girl-bossy game 'because Tik-Tok or Youtubers say so'.
