I kinda doubt "survived" as in serviceable condition after a fire like that. Wouldn't all the heat treatment and small parts be fucked?
OgreWithanIronClub@reddit
Depending on what was burning around it it might not have gotten that hot, and it a large chunk of steel so it can absorb a decent amount of heat before getting hot enough to really mess with anything.

Question for tho we know thee answer how does de vehicle catch fire like that even thought they are so armored
OgreWithanIronClub@reddit
Armoring a truck really does not help that much with how fire proof it is, the tires and all the plastics on the truck will still burn just fine.
damdalf_cz@reddit
Look at pictures of destroyed tanks. There is lot of fuel in vehicles that can burn as well as ton of plastics in cars not to mention this armour is nothing great it can stop rifle ammunition so it can compete with cops but nothing realy more than that
Occams_l2azor@reddit
Not to mention that this thing was probably knocked out by another .50 HMG. Its very likely that they are using tracer rounds.
417_mysticRick@reddit
Small chance it could also be a drone dropping grenades or incendiarys.
PsychoTexan@reddit
Trucks have a ton of plastics and they can’t armor everything. A sparking hub from a flat is not an uncommon cause for an automobile fire, all the moreso if it’s being shot at.

I’ve seen videos of those mounstrous fighting how does the army even compete against them, they’re crazy armed
MaximumStock7@reddit
People are more important than equipment. The Mexican military rocks the cartels pretty much every time they come into contact
TotalTimely8515@reddit
Yes but not against a freakin makeshift tank, the average Mexican soldiers aren’t armed with 50.cals or explosives of any kind plus army trucks are not armored so they’re toast in a ambush
simpdestroyer12@reddit
A lot of them have m203s or the revolver looking grenade launchers and get them with that
Shaun_Jones@reddit
HEAT jets; even grenade launchers nowadays can punch through more than three inches of solid steel plate; and recoilless launchers have been able to penetrate at least sixteen inches of armor for more than seventy years. Alternatively, just light them on fire; they aren’t sealed like a tank is so any amount of burning fluid poured on it is going to slip through cracks and find something to burn.
simpdestroyer12@reddit
40mm grenades go burrr
simpdestroyer12@reddit
The army fuck them up all the time
Panthean@reddit
Apparently not fireproof though
DukeboxHiro@reddit
Yup, no AC. Cook the driver like bees jumping on a hornet.

Why are those cartel creations as mysterious as tank prototypes from early XX century? You know, there is always only one picture from some odd angle...
canray2000@reddit
We all know that, in the end, there'll still be the BUFF, M2-HB, and the M1911.
skark_burmer@reddit
There’s a free m2 sitting around??? Got the coordinates? :)
