won’t get into too much detail but i’ve got a very scummy landlord. old house, been here for a bit. have had problems with rodents, drafty windows, appliances, along with the landlord being pretty awful in general.
was wondering if anyone knew of various things that could also go wrong in a house that would cost a good chunk to repair and couldn’t be traced back to tenants as something like vandalism or destruction of property.
not that i would do anything of course, i plan to leave the house as it was when i first moved in. this is just to educate myself.
i’ve heard termite infestations could be something to worry about

Would be a real shame if some cement ended up in the main sewer line either down the clean out or flushed. Real shame.

Leave some pallets against the house if you want termites.

you can buy cockroach eggs online and just...leave them in between the walls. Or behind the fridge.

Just don’t flush too many tampons. They could mess up the pipes!
