ULPT request: Someone owes my husband money…it’s been almost 2 years. Im fed up. What should I do to get him to pay?

It was a business transaction that didn’t follow through on the other guys end. He said he would return the money now it’s been sob story after sob story.
It’s under 10 grand and theres no receipts or much proof other than their conversation history. My husband is being too nice he wouldnt be this patient with anyone else. They are both in a mutual sport this guy is well known in the sport community so my husband has been very respectful. Every few weeks he says hes gna pay up then all of a sudden his grandma died, his car was burglarized or he wants to pay in bitcoin(too sketchy).
As a wife I see this effecting my husband because he still believes this guy is gna re pay.
I feel like he needs a little “nudge” and i am upset.
This guy owns a gym where he trains people. Should I go embarrass him? Should I send some people to maybe “startle” him a little? Should i blackmail his businesses somehow?
I need him to pay us back before the holidays what would you guys recommend

File a 1099-c with the IRS and fuck him on his taxes.
WesTxStoner425@reddit
Send him a text asking for a firm date for repayment. If he responds and admits the debt, preserve those responses. Then sue him for the full amount.

Excuse me very much but this is "unethical life pro tips". You seem to have presented a legally and ethically sound strategy.
kawaiian@reddit
If you read the rules, an ethical tip is allowed if it brings greater value than an unethical tip

My bad...

This is a good idea. Check with attorney in any case

Blackmail

A demand letter from an attorney is pretty cheap in comparison to what you are owed. It doesn’t really carry much weight, but the friend might not know that.

“Nice kneecaps you have there. Be a shame if anything happened to them.”

Your husband is a fool to loan money he can't afford to lose. He is a fool to believe the endless lies. If your husband is this foolish, he is likely to "loan" money again. Tell your husband he needs to work a second job to earn the money he foolishly gave away. Your spouse created the problem and he needs to be man enough to fix it.
ThunderCorg@reddit
My goodness. How much did your husband lose?
NeonTrigger@reddit
If he's serious about the Bitcoin there's not much risk in accepting it and selling it same-day.
ThunderCorg@reddit
Yeah, he owns a gym so is probably buying and selling PEDs hence the bitcoin.
If he’s willing to pay that way just take it.
pi1979@reddit
Steal shit from his gym until you feel you’re whole
PhilMeUpBaby@reddit
Yep, go embarrass the hell out of him
Don't forget Google reviews.

Your husband is a bitch. Tell him that. Maybe then he'll go get his money.
Dasrule@reddit
Start taking small items from his property and sell them online. Mailbox, garden hose, screen door, etc Every time something sells, leave an updated statement taped to his door. Be sure to assess reasonable late fees and interest.

Under 10k...snall clains courr easy

If he actually has bitcoin or the money to buy it, then he can pay you in cash. He's a scammer and you're husband is a fool for being so "nice."
Annual_Government_80@reddit
Keep all the exchanges DOCUMENT. Then you can file suit and let the cards fall.
defiCosmos@reddit
Get the BTC wtf?
Afferok@reddit
Break his legs…. It’s the Italian way
SkaneatelesMan@reddit
This is a situation that calls for the "I know a guy" solution.
Flguy222016@reddit
Take the bitcoin in hand than a promise from someone who’s lied 1000x. Why am I even having to say this? 😅
raptorboy@reddit
Give it up learn from it and move on , without a contract ya screwed and he sounds like a scammer sorry
BlottomanTurk@reddit
Shame. Public shame is a fantastic motivator.
Use the fact that he is "well known in the sport community" to your advantage. That kind of juicy gossip will spread like wildfire.
Even if it has nothing to do with his business directly, if his public image changes to "this guy can't be trusted with money", it will start messing with his business.
MermaidSapphire@reddit
Fuck his wife. That will teach him. Make her yearn for the velvet feel of your tongue. Make her leave him for you. Then piss disk his ass with her piss.

Brilliant

Might be worth getting photos of his equipment and his car and see if he owns the building. I’d put a list of assets together and have a couple of tall young men friends loom over/visit and outlining his debt to husband and the assets he seems to have. We all “know” he wants to pay his debts so he can start paying this week or assets will be “repossessed “. Soft sell it. You don’t want your friends to go to jail just educate the guy.
Love your husband’s faith. However he needs to sit this guy down and work out cashiers checks payments over the next six months. And ask for his lawyers contact number because he needs to be done.
Look at a lien on his business.
Jbooth72@reddit
Just get even. Accept the loss. Fox urine on their car.
Tyzorg@reddit
Two years and not paid yet? Either beat his ass or cut your losses. Can't get blood from a stone if he's a broke pos.
samwalton69@reddit
Suing maybe? You have text conversations that confirm he'll pay back said amounts, right? That, or cut out his kidney.
lolah@reddit
Find out where his mom lives and pay her a visit. Have her call him and get him to transfer the money.
