Ford V8 pickups belonging to 8th Hussars with Lewis guns mounted on the back. The 8th Hussars gave their trucks the name ‘Motor Cavalry’, operating four 15-cwt. Ford V8 pickups and a single 30-cwt. Truck.
Each vehicle had a crew of four and a single Vickers-Berthier machine gun. The single 30-cwt. truck carried additional stores, spares, and supplies. One pickup was fitted with a wireless set. These five vehicles operated as a single troop until December 1936, when they were reorganised and the 30-cwt. was assigned to headquarters duties instead. None of them were ever armored.
