The docent said we were probably the first people inside it in the last 10 years or so. It was a private tour of a few airplanes and the workshop underneath.
I grew up on Air Force bases wanting to be a pilot and Luke Skywalker. To me, the closest thing to an X-Wing was the F-16. Anytime there was an opportunity to watch them take off, land, or even walk up to one… I was there.

I like knowing what people like 🤷♂️ For general aviation I love epic aircraft’s or C-182 for commercial it’s gotta be A350
RozeTank@reddit
C-182 is certainly a choice, at least alongside "epic aircraft's." Is it because you like flying the Skylane?
rickmaz@reddit
I flew the C141A for the USAF ‘75-‘79 , it still has my heart!!!
angelic_sun@reddit
MD-82 by far! Wish they still flew in the EU
Late-Mathematician55@reddit
Yes
Waughy@reddit
SR-71 Blackbird is my overall favourite, with a very soft spot for the F-18 Classic Hornet, mainly due to having worked on them, and flown in one.
FighterFly3@reddit
Growing up it was the Boeing 737-700 (cause Southwest Airlines). Now? Either the F-22 or F-18 (cause blue angels and military airshows)
Still-Union-2528@reddit
E-2 Hawkeye. I will fight over that.
