Found a donor for my 79 Zephyr. A beautifully clapped out 95 GT 5.0/5spd

Mustang has had a hard life, 9 owners, one "moderate" front end wreck. Odometer quit working around 2007 so unknown mileage. One of the previous owners put straight pipes on it. Almost died from exhaust and gas fumes on the way home but it runs pretty good still and has everything I need for the swap.

Thank you :) I'm going to part out the rest of the Mustang and recoup a bit of the expense. There will still be a bunch of good usable parts on it. Wheels, spindles, rear axle, fenders, rear wing, trunk lid, hood, interior trim etc...

I love wagons but they are getting pretty expensive and wagon specific parts are drying up unfortunately.

3D scanned and printed parts are becoming more of a thing. Trick is finding someone to scan that one weird plastic wagon part, lol.

That 'stang IS kinda artfully shoddy ain't it.

I actually own a metrology grade scanner and offer that as a service through my company :) Printing a tail light is not quite as good as an original but I understand what you are talking about. Yeah that Mustang is clapped for sure but it was fun to drive still :)

Engine, transmission, all engine bay wiring, ECU, engine harness etc.. Just a full drivetrain swap. The Zephyr already has 91 GT disc brakes, 8.8, aftermarket control arms, Strange struts and shocks, with a few other goodies like lowering springs and a tubular trans cross member.

ugh, so good. I had a zephyr coupe I regret letting go of. It was such a good little car despite being akin to that mustangs condition. Told the guy to bring it back when he was done, he needed a car for a while, and instead they drove it to the junkyard who promptly forked it right in the crusher :/

I actually also want to know more about your scanning company? Any examples handy. getting into that myself right now, looking at making unique high detail models/assets of unusual or hard to find items (that otherwise just clutter the shop, lol)

Not full vehicles but have done a lot of parts. My scanner is good for items from about 1" cubed to roughly a car hood. I scanned the entire engine bay of my Fairmont but that starts getting pretty data heavy. Several million triangles in a scan like that

Thank you. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think 10 holes were ever an option on Fairmont/Zephyr. I think they were Mustang only.

NICE!! I got my Fairmont station wagon after someone swaped all the parts off of a 1988 Mustang Gt. This is a much better option as you get the 5 lug wheel upgrade. RIP the last of the 5.0
