I have the address but don’t know the owners of the house or who’s currently renting it so how do I find out who lives there without going there
eatingganesha@reddit
property records are public records and most places provide them online as a searchable database.

And then go do it for all the other data broker sites like peoplesearch, peoplefinder, spokeo, truthfinder, beenverified etc etc

Here's more DIY opt-out guides for other data broker sites. There are HUNDREDS of these people search sites so you might want to explore data removal services like Optery. Full disclosure, I am part of the Optery Team.

Thanks i didnt know there were that many, terrifying 😃

I’ve manually removed myself from all these types of websites. Typically there is a link at the bottom of the page you can click and have them remove your info
master_perturbator@reddit
My discover card has a feature where they monitor these sites and send out the request to be removed for me. I get a monthly report and then if I'm back up, log in and click a few buttons.

There’s a site you can do it on (removes you from everywhere online). Can’t remember the name though. I was gonna do it too

The whitepages (link below) can tell you who lives there, but only a local platt can tell you who OWNS it. These can be found at the county records office. You may need to talk to the county clerk in order to access these the first time, but it is not difficult.
Tw1ch1e@reddit
The county assessors site.
Half_cooked@reddit
You can also go into the local tax assessor's website.

Fastpeoplesearch.com
I use it all the time
Few-Lengthiness-2286@reddit
Hate that this website exists tbh
delicate-duck@reddit
Why
Few-Lengthiness-2286@reddit
Really? Why? Because it sucks someone can just drive by your house, input your address, and find so much information about you
delicate-duck@reddit
Can get it anyway from voting and online criminal records. You have the option to remove it
Few-Lengthiness-2286@reddit
I’ve tried removing it before and it remained up
epic_reddit_dude@reddit
Why do you use that all the time?
purplesky2@reddit
To see if i can find out the random asians that keep calling my phone

If you are using vpn that is likely why you are blocked
Time_Money506@reddit (OP)
For some reason it blocks me access to use the site

If you're in the US, type "county name state gis parcel search" into google. In most places in the US, the parcel records are public record.
Obviously type in the actual county and state.
Hopai79@reddit
smart people use discreet trust names or put it under their attorney
redditusernamehonked@reddit
In California, you can find it from the county tax assessor's website. I mean who owns it, not necessarily who lives there.
drugged_pug@reddit
You can also look up the property tax amount . Primary home typically will have a lower amount than rentals. (Homestead)
delicate-duck@reddit
Google the address. There will be tons of sites

udonbeatsramen@reddit
Try the Regrid app. Or call your local county assessors office.
phan2001@reddit
ChatGPT will look on the owner for you.

Tax assessor's website for the town the house is in.
Hugh_jassule@reddit
Download the app OnX. It’s an app more used for hunting and knowing property lines, but it tells you who owns the property. The paid version is required, but you can sign up with a fake email and they give you a week free. No email verification or credit card needed. I’ve been using the app for probably a year. When my trial runs out, I sign out, enter a new email, and I’m in for another free week.
mtn-cat@reddit
Google. It’s public record.
Nauti-Grl@reddit
Many states have voter registration records online. So you can find someone even if they’re a renter.
lynn620@reddit
Go to the county website where the house is located and you can usually find name and address of the owner by doing a property records search. Probably won't find the tenant if house is rented.
