That’s crazy… it looks like bad AI

This is a real photo of a real animal. This is a Blainville's beaked whale.

I get that it’s real. That’s why I’m saying it’s crazy because it looks AI. It’s just weird seeing something real that looks ai in a world where things look real but they’re ai.

I think limited life experience gives the illusion of "ai". The education system in this country is in shambles.

I’ll assume you’re from the USA with that comment

Growing up in Hawaii, I knew we had whales. It wasn’t until I read “Breath of a Whale” that I realized how many different species live around us.
Good book.

Ah, just noticed the watermark so I looked up Cascadia Research and found the photo source! So yeah, male Blainville's!
Normally very cryptic, the first encounter of our last Hawaiʻi field project (in April) was an adult male Blainville’s beaked whale that breached repeatedly, a rare sight! We head back out to Kona for another field project starting October 28th, hoping that our first encounter will be something as exciting! Oh my god, why is facebook like this!! Sorry for that big, honkin' link, I don't know how to fix that. 🤦♂️
Anyways, they have a very nice website with lots of info and photos of various species!
