Shouldn't get a gpws alert while in landing configuration, assuming your descent rate isn't excessive... At least that's what I, a layperson, would think.
Plus I presume the top runway would be for landing, 🛬 (is this a landing emoji wtf is there one for 🛫 lmao why didn't I know about these before)
lol imagine hitting V speeds in a calm wind environment inside the tunnel, then leaving the tunnel and into a 30 knot headwind or crosswind component of 15 or 20 and having to correct immediately or drift into an embankment.
That's a natty idea for places where money's no object, just a shame the space you save with the stacked landing / take-off runways is cancelled out by the massive extra shallow ramps to get to common taxiways
I could actually see where the idea originated. Take offs could happen and just not rotate until after getting out from under it essentially allowing you to take off and land simultaneously. Just make the go around procedure an immediate turn off runway heading to prevent a go around from meeting a take off. Take offs and landing should probably both be in the same direction as well. All takeoffs on the lower runway all landings on the higher one since the bottom isn't exactly conducive to go arounds.
In reality I am sure there are millions of reasons why this is a horrible idea.
In reality, unlike the image, you'd have takeoffs and landings both into the wind, so they wouldn't be heading towards eachother at least.
But I'd love to see the engineering report for runway overrun mitigation.

They would still need to sequence the aircraft so you don't have a plane going around while another plane is climbing out. The biggest savings might be in not having pause one runway to allow planes to cross from the other.
I think the real idea here is justan underground taxiway so that you can get aircraft to the other side of a runway without having to cross it, as the majority of safety incidents on the ground are related to runway crossings.
It has several other airstrips too. The boneyard you buy in the latter half of the game, area 69, the aircraft carrier, and I think there’s a cropduster runaway near the mountain as well? Could be wrong.

I'm a native English speaker, but I watch quite a bit of car related content and it seems like most of them are based in Germany, and even though they all speak English, sometimes the accent tricks the AI that does the dubs and it gets dubbed anyways.
And now imagine how my YouTube experience is like, as a German who mostly watches English videos... I just can't watch most content anymore. Really sad and I just can't wrap my head around who thought this was a good idea!

It's also missing the separation bar between the location and (nonsensical) mandatory part of the array.
I was referring to the 26H part of the sign, which would denote a heliport, and in the case of CARs 325.35; an elongated FATO is required to have both the rwy heading, and a large H denoting that it is a heliport. An operator could include the H on the sign in that case and there would be nothing wrong with it.

You know what's funny, I've observed more and more people are saying videos are not real anymore, even when they are, and more and more people are accusing others of being bots and A.I. Even I am getting accused of being a bot more and more. We are definitely living in interesting times, man. Yeah, for sure. I see the same and can generally still tell which ones are and aren't. I saw some of the first ones that had nothing I could identify as fake in them in the last month.. and I was the one that generated them so I know they are. Interesting times for sure.
He's truly the chaotic good of channels dedicated to picking on game's details to an unnatural amount. So much more interesting than the tiresome no commentary types that goes, "let's see which game leaves a small footprint when stepping over mud".

I love learning how systems and logistics work, and the way he uses examples in games to illustrate real world processes and effects helps the information actually stick for me. They may be silly youtube videos but he seems like he'd probably be a pretty good teacher.

You're on taxiway Alpha going to taxiway 1 to go to runway 26 hot. Don't you know that's why the FAA writes those amber circles on taxi diagrams?! They're the place to be.
So you're on taxiway A, runway 1 is... somewhere but the sign doesn't wanna tell you where. And you're holding short of runway 26... high? Which mysteriously does not have a corresponding runway 8 high.
Seems legit to me!
Interest factoid: this actually exists at some airports. PHNL has some reversed hold short markings since its runways are too close together to vacate one runway without getting too close to the other.
Just remember to take it at your own pace. Don't rush into maneuvers. Start every maneuver from well-trimmed straight and level flight. Don't forget your clearing turns. And if you make any mistakes, just move on. If the DPE hasn't said you've failed, whatever mistakes you've made weren't bad enough that you can't still pass!
Yes, AFAIR, he got it a little while ago. He has a podcast where he mentions aviation almost every week and a few months ago he mentioned specifically that he flies.
