Disposable contact lenses pressed into bedside tables, discarded false nails & eyelashes. Snot smeared up the shower wall and the used condom in the bedroom not bathroom bin. I work in housekeeping, people are scumbags
I used to have a terraced neighbour that did this in their bathroom every day, and I could hear it through the walls. It was vile.
I work in dentistry and I'll get maybe one patient a year that does it into the sink and every time it makes me want to vomit. Just spit out the water, you don't need sound effects!
I've been sick a few times and you can't really just spit it out. The flem people spit out is usually a slimy consistency stuck in the throat the the hawking/coughing brings out so it can be spat out.
On the bright side, spitting in the sink is like the best place to do so because it's so easy to clean out so it's less likely others will be infected.
It might sound controversial, but what should they do instead? Some people have problems with their nose, like a deviated septum, and when they get a cold, unlike normal people - they have mucus for weeks.
A tissue is not enough if you have a deviated septum and have a stuffed nose 6 months per year. If they do it in a sewage on the street when there are no people around, or elsewhere where people don't walk, why would I have a problem with that?
I don't find cigarettes grotesque. People have been smoking them since at least 12000 years. We've also been socially conditioned to accept the fact that it's a conscious choice made by adults, even though everyone is aware what health effects it has. Just like alcohol.
The idea that vapes are somehow "better" than cigarettes is laughable. A negligible number of tobacco smokers have switched to vaping. Meanwhile - a very large nr of people who never smoked started vaping, because they're everywhere. No offense to anyone - but I genuinely find people who vape quite unintelligent and weak. How can someone let themselves be manipulated by consumerism and marketing, that they start carrying with them a battery powered device they they suck out of all day long?
10% of GB adults vape. 13% of GB adults smoke. 55% of vapers are former smokers who have since given up smoking. 40% are active smokers who also smoke as well as vape. That leaves 5% who vape without having smoked first.
So just to be totally clear, a *majority* of vape users are ex-smokers, 95% of vape users are current or former smokers, a “negligible number” of non smokers went into vaping, and you should be ashamed of yourself for trotting out garbage stats uncited.

I am so glad somebody found that, i am a former smoker who vapes and the difference is huge for me and wife is same. I know loads of people in the same boat but not one person who went to vape straight away although i know there will be some.
As soon as i read that comment i was sure my lived experience was not that far removed from reality.
Since i went to vapes i have run 6 half marathons, my wife has done 10ks and will do first half in june...she is the most unsporty person i know and it is some turnaround.
I'm not sure what the current wisdom is in long term health effects if vaping, may not be great, depending perhaps on the type of eliquid, but I would have to assume that it's not AS bad as smoking, and it seems like you're not actively harming others around you with second hand smoke
Im sure it is better than cigs, the aim is to quit completely but after many attempts of trying to quit cigarettes it was the easiest step. I got down to 3mg now which is the lowest...the habit/routine will be the hardest step but last step.
Given how well known the health impacts of tobacco are and how long we've known about them I'd say it's just as big of a consumerism and marketing issue. I'm not saying calling is any better, seems like it's not as healthy in comparison as was once claimed, but at least vape clouds don't linger and stank up the clothes of everyone in a 10 meter radius
Just had some scruffy bastard vaping in morrisons, which I only realised when i breathed it in as I came round the corner. So gross, how can't you wait five minutes?
I did say 'eurgh, disgusting' and coughed a bit but I don't fancy a row or getting a smack in the gob on a Friday night. I think I saw the guy putting the vape back in his pocket but i didn't actually see him tooting on it so wouldnt have felt justified actually confronting him.
I hate it when people cough or sneeze into their hands, or wipe their nose on their hands.
Also, when people lick their fingers to file through sheets of paper more easily.
Fish. Not the smell or the taste, but their physical appearance, they're horrifying for me to look at. *But* there is an exception: sharks. All sharks. They're simply beautiful. They don't have the same disgusting shimmery scales amd silvery eyes as other fish.
Discarded chewing gum that ends up under public furniture (benches, library tables etc), on lampposts, on the pavement etc... Wrap it if you can, and bin it people!
People who pick their nose whilst driving, thinking no one can see them. Taking a sip of a drink whilst clearly still chewing on the food in their mouth. Men scratching their balls in public. Burping loudly in public, even more so at a restaurant. Not washing hands after using the toilet, it is scarily common in women's public toilets. Wiping the nose in an upwards motion with the flat of the hand. Using a knife and fork the wrong way or eating with hands in a nice restaurant. Visible arse cracks. Bad self hygiene and BO. Wearing pyjamas in public. Sliders or Crocs in public.
Watched someone tapping away at their phone on a holster in their car whilst driving. 10 seconds later, the idiot was having a fucking facetime whilst driving. Why on earth it would be necessary to SEE the person in the phone call WHILST DRIVING ?!?!?! beyond me
My mums dog is very sweet and tries to lick my face which I find rank but my mum takes offense to it when I don't let him. She let's him lick her mouth 🤢 her argument is "there's people out there with dirtier mouths" which may or may not be true but I don't let them lick my mouth either
Unrelated, but I’m a big vaper, it’s jsut another form of smoking, it’s not better than it but it certainly tastes nicer, and I can tell you for certain if eke better after a vape than I do after a fag
Littering, being loud in public, men who walk swinging their shoulders/arms, men who lean all the way back in their car despite not knowing what an oil filter is, just men in general really.
People letting cats onto surfaces.
Inevitably, always, kitchen surfaces too. Absolutely disgusting, everything in those houses must be absolutely rancid.
I hate people blowing their nose. It disgusts me to a very unreasonable level and I try to avoid ever blowing my nose in front of other people. I feel less revulsion watching someone vomit than blowing their nose.
I’m aware, this is a weird hang up of mine.
I always feel a lot of second hand embarrassment when I see people walking about clutching a vape in their hand like their life depends on it. Can't bear to go without having a wee toot of your usb stick, can ya? Get a grip.
