What a delight landing here was. Best large hub airport in North America from my experience. Super clean, lots of food/drink options, and washrooms practicaply every few steps.....only complaint could be the cost of food but that is the timed we live in now.

Q70 wasn't as bas as I had expected. But then I had to go thriugh LAX a few times a year for a few years.

Last time I took the Q70 from the airport it took 45 minutes to get to Woodside, due to traffic. Which I realize was not your experience...but any time you rely on bus service in a congested city, that can happen.

Reliability is ineed a problem, especially with no dedicated bus lanes. Funnily enough last month when I landed in LGA, the Q70 was fine, only took 15 mins. But then the F train decided it felt like a R train that day and turned a 1-stop ride to 21St into a 20-minute local.

I don’t think LGA should be a hub for connecting travelers, honestly. I think it should just be O&D. The airspace is too congested and the runway situation is so bad. Plus, all the regional jets make things worse.

Was about 8 years ago that there were literal buckets catching rainwater inside the terminal if it rained.

LGA was single runway ops with runway with a lengthy ground delay program today, average delays were around 100 minutes when the program was issued. Wind gusts were near 40 kts for a while, there was widespread moderate or greater low-level turbulence, and departure taxi times were also at least an hour. I haven’t flown through LGA in several years but I’m completely astounded any terminal amenities could come close to making up for the ninth circle of Hell that was N90 ops today.

I had ATC on at my desk for most of the day. Departures would open and close for small spurts of time squeezing one or two planes out while the ramp and taxiways were complete parking lots. It must have been painful being stuck in that mess.
