1990-1993 Ford Taunus, the 70s Taunus ended production in the early 80s in Western Europe, but in Turkey they were still making it in the early 90s with some updated looks.

Cortina in Australia. they put a 4 litre straight 6 in them. they were a ton of fun. but if you modified them for more power you'd get chipped paint around the back doors from the body flexing.

I had a 1979 model back in the days.

I had a lipstick red 2-door “1.6 S”, factory chrome delete, alloy wheels. 88hp Pinto engine.😀

I had managed to not know this car existed until today, thank you! The late production models really look like a four door Fox body Mustang...which is something decidedly weird.

Trust me, it didn't have the performance of a Mustang.

Nothing a good old 302 shoved in the engine bay wouldn't fix. That or one of the later Cologne V6s used in the Explorer. I mean certain Taunus versions offered the V6 from the factory so it should drop right in.

I don’t hate it. The headlights aren’t doing it any favors.

This kind of looks like the Police Car from GTA3 and GTA Vice City.

Granada with a Sierra interior

Had one in early 90s. To be honest, I really don't even recall the darned thing apart from its red colour.

I'm seeing a mk4 Cortina with a fox body Mustang nose

The fit and finish on that front end is just dreadful.

Some of these might look like that because of age
zoinkability@reddit
I suppose but even in the studio shots at the end there appear to be big gaps around the grille.

You're right, they almost look like sealed beams u would see in US cars

I remember those from my childhood they always looked like they were held together with zip ties and hope.

Kinda looks like the late 70 's Mazda 626.

Looks like they updated the styling without changing a single body pressing. The dash appears to share a lot of parts with the Sierra.
