Is the next generation F****d?

After watching yesterdays Oxford Street fiasco I have come to the conclusion that the next generation of adults are done for. TikTok will only get bigger and bigger and more influential and people will start to live their lives around the latest “trend” I fear they will never grow up which will be disastrous. Social media can be powerful in the correct ways but also can he be massively harming. Unrealistic perceptions of looks due to instagram and Snapchat filters.

But basically the idea of "my generation good, next generation bad" has been around for a long long long long time. Your parents generation probably thought the same about yours. There are always gonna be bad apples, and social media definitely brings it's issues. But these sorts of bad behaviours have always happened, and always will happen. That's life

In loads of ways kids are better today. In general I think they are kinder. When I was at school racism and homophobia were rife. These days kids are so much more accepting. I'm not saying these things don't happen but they aren't accepted as they were in the 90s.

There are still plenty of parents who bring their children up to be kind, considerate, and honest no matter what their background. Sadly those that don't behave well now have a global stage, they only know how to break and destroy, not how to build the future.

Most young people have seen social meda for what it is and have much more sensible attitudes to it. It's the 20 somethings that have that problem. Tiktok will be gone in a few years, just like all the other things that were going to "ruin the next generation", from photosgraphs to moving pictures to rock n roll, drink, drugs, satan etc etc. No. The next generation will be just fine. They will look back astoubded how fucked up we were..

I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words. When I was young, we were taught to be discreet and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly disrespectful and impatient of restraint
