Any doc in the military can get certified as a flight surgeon. A flight surgeon just means you have some extra training in aeromedical physiology. If you're rated (fly or responsible for certain assets like satellites), you're in "flight status" and your medical treatment is highly monitored. For example, I was put on some cough syrup with codeine. The flight surgeon had to go through a procedure to take me off of flight status while I was on the meds, which affected my crew rest periods for scheduling. If I were put on an antidepressant and antianxiety medicine, it would be the same.
