I get that they're better, but i enjoy the sound of angry lawnmowers flying over better. Same reason I like the sole remaining Allison V12 powered hydroplane better than the rest of the field (though in that case, it also happens to be the better machine).
If I win the lottery it’s mine, and then I’m fucking off on a perpetual fishing trip in the bush for the rest of my life(or until the next service interval)
Nice. 2000lbs is a decent enough amount of weight for that thing to be a 4 person camper. You could modify it to sleep 2-1-1. Has fridge, oven, sink, toilet. Add racks on the outside for gas-powered scooters and done.
That's funny, it seems to be one of the few Russian-made (Siberian Scientific Research Institute) An-2 conversions to turboprop made as part of 2011 collaboration with Honeywell.
Less than 50 planes were ever converted.
(There were several attempts to turbopropify the An-2 with both Russian and American turboprops, but eventually none of them ever succeeded due to operational costs).

Does it come with a Boston Terrier?

I have the same kind and scale of dislike for this as I do the DH Beaver turboprop conversions.
Straight6er@reddit
Do I prefer the OG Beaver? Yes. Is the turbo beaver a better machine in almost every way? Also yes.
(In this case I'm thinking of the Viking conversion, I have no idea what the others are like)

Once you fly a turbine beaver it ruins you to fly a radial. Believe me.
Straight6er@reddit
The radial is absolutely iconic. The turbo doesn't feel, sound, or even smell as good (gotta love carcinogens).
I feel the same way about my old BMW, it has a unique scent which is probably just thirty year old plastics and burning oil, but I like it.

The sales post contains a video from 2 years ago. If you google a little bit you may find more info.
But I think the conversion happened after 2011 and is a personal project.
