Introducing this strange Chery Eastar based sedan created by China’s Binhzhou Pride which operated between 2006-08; their cars had no names and could only be sold in Binzhou City.. It was said that the designers of this particular car were either from the year 2184 or designed the car while drunk.

Kakairo@reddit
The Chinese love their back seat legroom. There are "L" versions of so many familiar cars over there.

A long wheelbase version of the first gen A-class (V168) was offered in Europe between 2001 and 2005
wellsalted@reddit
It’s not uncommon to have a driver in China, big back seats are common because of this. Minivans with lazy-boy like seats in the rear are prevalent too.
Steelhorse91@reddit
Lots of people hire personal chauffeurs there.
crshbndct@reddit
My 335i GT thanks them for this. It’s amazing.
icebeancone@reddit
You could put another row of seats there
diewethje@reddit
You could land a fuckin’ jumbo jet in there.

The Chinese are obsessed with looking like they have money so lots of cars are available in long wheelbase versions to appease that desire.
kracklinoats@reddit
It’s very common for the affluent in China have chauffeurs, so higher trim cars are designed for rear-seat comfortability.

I like both articles - I don't know Chinese but I Google translated the second one and it's pretty funny and has a lot of good information on these cars. Apparently this is like the Chinese version of Mitsuoka. Or maybe more the Binzhou version of Mitsuoka.

Chinese cars almost always are. They don't do anything original, just steal ip from the rest of the planet, put a shitty mask on it and sell it as their own.

From the first article posted in another comment:
So this is the "Binzhou treatment" on hardware from other manufacturers. Makes you wonder if they also frame chopped fronts/rears together from different models as well. It might explain the lengthened passenger compartment

There's something really wrong with the placement of the back seat. It has to be actually in the trunk. There aren't any pictures showing it from the front - what do you bet that there's zero headroom for the back seat passengers?
zoinkability@reddit
It’s a quasi limo. I remember reading that at least for a while this somewhere-between-a-car-and-a-limo was a popular car style in China because if you could afford a car you could also afford a driver, so huge back seat areas were desired.
