Because while we can’t be on vacay our whole lives, we sure as hell were not meant to live like this. I’m not allowing myself to be gaslit by certain generations that fit the stereotype. And I’m 45 so im not sitting closer to either side of young or old but in the middle, im not buying the US work culture. Hard work doesn’t always pay & I don’t pile my value in a 9-5 thats really not out there for me and my benefit. Your eyes opened a little since you got space on your vacay & what we’re told to accept, juggle, and act like it’s normal, is total bs.

Because you were on vacation. And now you’re not. And that’s sad.

You had a good time spending your days how you want and now you gotta go back to the hamster wheel Groundhog Day life.

Post-event blues. We all have them. It’s okay to feel that way. Get out of the house, and go eat a meal made in the style of the region you just visited. Or just go outside, walking around and staring at the trees while playing some nostalgic music

because you had freedom and were having an adventure as humans are suppose to feel. you are feeling real natural emotions. then you have to come back to reality of being in a society built on money. thats just my observation

I experience feeling let down after vacation too. I’ve learned that I need something to look forward to in order to boost my mood and make it through the work week. My husband is similar and says he enjoys the anticipation of vacation as much as the actual vacation. So, maybe you are missing that anticipation-of-fun feeling? We also get a bit bummed out the day after Christmas.
