It is different. In the 80s Dairy Milk had a quite grainy texture, whilst Galaxy was silkier. Dairy Milk has lost the grainy feel it once had. In terms of flavour I can’t remember it being different though.

I just had to Google to see that Kraft took over in 2010 — I thought it was longer ago than that. I don’t remember exactly when the graininess went away, it might have only been since Kraft took over.

Kraft owning the brand doesn't mean it is produced differently or by different organizations. Bournville still produce it and the recipe has always remained the same. It literally hasn't changed. Like, factually, as a goddamned fact the recipe is the same as it always has been.

There is no evidence that Cadbury have changed the classic dairy milk recipe. Because they haven't, it's produced by the same people and the recipe is the same as it has always been. This whole "Cadburys is disgusting now" or "when I was younger is was different" is people having faulty memories or wanting to believe something they've read on social media.

I read somewhere that Freddos are still good as they're made in Ireland, fuck it I'll look... "Well Freddos are actually made in Ireland, making them nicer, smoother and milkier compared to the Dairy Milk made in Birmingham. "This is because they still make it the original way, whereas Birmingham changed it when they were taken over."
