I don’t look at food before I cook it, I just listen at it and feel at it for awhile. Just joshing obviously… I think it’s just the raw meat sitting on the counter / not a cutting board that’s giving me the ick moreso than the actual look of it.

I’ve heard great things about lengua tacos and tongue sandwiches from the Jewish deli, but I don’t know if I could eat it if I’d seen the whole raw tongue first. If someone offered me a prepared tongue sandwich or taco while I am famished I would almost certainly try it.
