I'm weird with cheese. Raw cheese on bread is disgusting... but cheese on toast is phenomenal.

I'll make this when I'm exhausted but content enough to not hate myself. Although I spread mayonnaise on both breads, or even add some Branston pickle on the sliced medium cheddar. Overall it tastes great, it's a warm blanket for my tongue.

This, on the other hand, the cheese looks scabby and dry :( true post-worthy material here.

I love a cheese sandwich with sharp cheese. Definitely a different texture from a grilled cheese/toasty, but it’s so comforting. It’s also a classic sandwich. Soft bread, sharp cheese, rich salty butter. Man I wish I had some good cheese on hand, none of OP’s dry-aged vintage fridge cheese lol
