Well, I don't really care about unlimited booze (and I feel you have to drink a lot for it to really be value for money), I'm not bothered about sun, and my idea of relaxing isn't lying by a pool all day. Also I don't like eating in the hotel all the time. There's a lot of people the same. Prefer being out and about exploring somewhere, eating local food and so on.

Also with an autistic little one here. They are honestly perfect for us. The buffet serving 30 different foods every meal meant he could choose exactly what he wanted and if he didn't like it, leave it and have something else. Then there was an all day snack bar he could get drinks, fruit and ice cream from. I did no cooking, shopping, chopping or washing up for a week. Bliss. We've stayed in ones with a small apartment with a kitchenette and in another that was a little house on the resort with its own mini pool. Alas now he's older we're back to renting villas so I'm back to cooking but it was brilliant while it lasted!

We go half board (less pressure to adhere to the meal times and honestly don’t really need lunch at the hotel as we like to get out and about) We usually get an apartment thats on a resort rather than a hotel room. So one bedroom, living area with pull out bed, and small kitchenette. You get the benefit of being on the resort but you can have a bit of space back at the apartment. Works well for us.

My parents took me on a lot of package, all-inclusive holidays as a kid. It’s really not the sort of person I am now but I loved it then. Being able to get any food or drinks I wanted, pool time and kids clubs. I have fond memories.

We've been to the same place in Spain for 7 years running now. Every year I feel embarrassed telling people but we all love the place, we know the area so well, recognise many of the hotel staff, we know what we're getting... It just makes sense when you're spending the best part of £5k!

I was told I wouldn’t be successful due to growing up in the system, never doing homework and failing my GCSEs. I’m now 21 a teaching assistant and mentee teacher, diplomat, activist and been offered my next job as a residential counsellor that my lead teacher is going to put me forward for with every expectation and belief in me I’ll get promoted fast due to my skill set!

Never thought I’d be a “minimalist decor” or new-build type person. Now I find myself fantasising about living in a bland little new-build. I also have just redecorated our bedroom and have done it off-white with white furniture and everything really bare, which is so different to how I’ve ever had any space. We were joking the other night that I’ve basically made a white padded cell for myself, but maybe it’s not really a joke. I never thought I would be the type of parent I am. I swore blind when I was a teenager that I was going to be a cool mum, my kids would be able to do what they wanted, wouldn’t have to do school work, they’d be able to have a phone, go to parties, stay out late etc etc….i was convinced I would model being “cool” and I would still go out and drink with my friends…lol. I am most definitely not the “cool” parent I thought I would be but current me thinks I’m doing a pretty good job which is what matters but teenage me would think I’m a total flannel. I only have a 4.5 year old and a newborn and I’m a completely different parent to the one teenage me thought. I would be. I’m heavily invested in giving my kids a safe, supportive and loving home. I’m strict about what my eldest is allowed to watch on tv and don’t allow her to have a tablet outside of plane journeys. I sit and read with her and help her with phonics every single day, I don’t drink or party (but I do see my friends). My daughter has a routine and my newborn will also have a routine when she’s old enough. I’ll see what their teenage hood brings but I imagine it will be very different to the one teenage me had planned for them!

The main thing for me that made it an actual habit was having no expectations for the first few times - the plan was just physically take myself to the gym once a week to start. Didn’t matter if I don’t do a proper workout yet, I just needed to get to the location and maybe get on a bike for 15 minutes and have a look at what’s what. From there, start building up a workout plan and start increasing how often you go. People will make very complicated workout plans and love to hypothesise about what kind of split is best and which version of an exercise is the most effective and exactly how you should fuel your workout. But if you’re new, none of that matters at all. All that matters is you’ve found a few exercises you can do consistently and without injuring yourself (so do get a proper induction if you’re not sure of anything).

I spent my teens and twenties drinking like a fish, smoking like a chimney and going out out very often. At 37 I now don’t feel good unless I’ve been to the gym. I partake in long-distance wild swimming races. Who am I? So glad for the change though. Wish I’d been doing this when I was younger, having a few drinks afterwards instead of it being my whole life. Where I work I'm the loud, confident person with a voice that carries across great distances, and when I walk into rooms and say hello everyone turns to look at me and says hello back. 15 years ago I was very much not that person lol.
