i’m looking at getting an EBike to commute to and from school and work. 2.5 miles home-school, 3 miles home-work. i’m 6’5 205 lbs, wanting a simple Ebike that I can pedal-assist cruise at like 25-30 mph.
does anyone have one of these or know anything about them? this looks like a good option for the price but I can’t seem to find videos or posts about this bike anywhere (other than like one 0:45 youtube short)

How do you like it? Thinking about getting one on Facebook used

it’s a sweet E-Bike. pretty solid all-around (power, range, comfort). i’d recommend trying one!

How fast can it go and what’s the range like? I’m in between of these or the method 750 but I don’t wanna pay the extra lol

you can unlock it on the screen to go 28mph, and i’ve had like 15 mile rides with ~50% battery left

How do you access the 28 mph mode?

from Crew Bike Co Support:
“To access the ‘High’ mode all you have to do is hold the M and + button for 3 seconds and the bike will automatically be unlocked!
It will display an H on the display.”

Not for me but it looks nice in pictures...reasons to say know include - cadence sensor means it probably rides like a moped and less like a bike IMO - no gears makes hills and climbs hard - considering it has a500W hub motor and rear gears, it is pretty heavy at 55lbs...but still light for an ebike overall
All they said, it it is a nice looking bike - not bulky looking at all...etc .. its 36T front to 16T rear means not having gears will be a lesser concern since it's a more neutral setup and not for speed but will still be hard to climb any significant hill

i appreciate the insight! thankfully i live in a very flat area, so hills shouldn’t be an issue.

Oh, also noticed that the bike and the battery have no UL certs...if you are in the US, it is getting harder and harder to meet requirements if they aren't UL certified...
Lastly, the gearing means you will have serious ghost pedalling at 20mph let alone the 28mph it claims to hit when unlocked...

what tooth chainring would be better if i want to peddle-assist at top end cruising speeds?
RazzmatazzEastern786@reddit
If you get it, live with it and ride it stock for a while and then start tinkering...each bike is different...my XP may not be yours when you ride
RazzmatazzEastern786@reddit
Typically the bigger the front and smaller the rear the faster you can pedal but the slower you will be with load on the bike or inclines...
I have a 52T front with 11T rear and I still ghost pedal after about 20-23mph depending on the load I am carrying and the incline of the path

I really like that bike. Horizontal dropouts are the shit. I see their other models are zooz look alikes. 36v battery, and 500w hub motor... you might be able to pedal cruise that at close to 25 especially with a (bigger ) chainring.

it claims to have a secret 28 mph mode lol, but changing the chain ring might be the move
