What is this? On an oarweed stump, UK northumberland

I found this washed up, about 6 am. I was collecting oarweed and accidentally touched it, it was soft and fleshy; it also reacted to my touch, so I assumed it was alive and put it back in the water.
I'm curious what it is! I've never seen anything like it; closest would be anemones, but I didn't see any hole or 'mouth' for the tendrils.

Either a polyechete of some kind (flatworm sp?) or a nudibranch,pretty neat find overall!

thankyou, i'll look more into those! I didn't realise we ahd nudibranchs in the UK, i'm excited to find out about that possibility. :)
