Yes and no. Russia trades in things US cannot sanction without committing suicide.
Russian aluminum, titanium, fertilizers and RD-180 space rocket engines are just a small example. Not to mention gasoline and diesel.
This is not to be confused with raw aluminum, titanium and oil. The refined products which are energy intensive to produce is what Russia sells. Before Ukraine invaded Russia the US was importing 21% of its gasoline and diesel from Russia.
US produces more oil but cannot refine it and has to sell off like a third world oil state. Russia on the other hand exports finished products while also extracting as much oil as it wants and has the ability to increase the extraction but chooses not to without increasing refining capacity which it can but US cannot.
