Looking for a Restaurant with Vegan Options that Also has Food my Family Would Enjoy (Preferably near or on the way to Arlington)

This weekend my family is celebrating my 60th birthday. I am a vegan who relocated here 2 years ago to be close to my son, DIL and 2 grandsons. Though I know places around me (Addison area,) I will be meeting them at their house (Lewisville/The Colony) area and then we are going to Cidercade (my pick for an activity- I love pinball) and on the way we are either going to have brunch or lunch.
So far, it sounds like we are going to True Food Kitchen (probably the one in Frisco) before heading out to Cidercade.
My family does not like Indian Food which is my favorite, so that is a no go. I also don't think they would be open to Ethiopian.
The 2 boys are 9 and 11. The 11 year old likes burgers, tacos and hot dogs and that is about it. The 9 year old has a much wider palate and enjoys most Asian foods and is usually up for trying most things. My son and DIL are more accommodating but neither like Indian- they say it is the cardamon (my son also doesn't like cinnamon in savory dishes.)
I am NOT looking for something fancy but instead something that isn't a chain, has good food with great vegan options. I am going to the Virgin Islands for my birthday with my sister, so even though it is my 60th (which happens when I am away) I am not wanting some big fancy thing.
So, any suggestions? I like True Food Kitchen in Jacksonville, I haven't been in a few years, so it is not off the table. I am just curious if I am missing some gem that we could go to instead.

Prince Lebanese Grill in Arlington on Randol Mill Road will be the best option.

The Vegan Vibrations (which is a treck out in Plano) has some delicious vegan food that would definitely please some picky eaters and kids

Yes, I have visited there a few times. It's a great locally owned business.

Are you going to the Cidercade on Irving Blvd.? Community Beer Co. has typical bar food with lots of vegan options (I’ve seen kids there before).
GrandTrineAstrology@reddit (OP)
It shows the address as 500 E Division St, Arlington, TX 76011.
I've been to Dream Tacos and I have learned that they are using non vegan ingredients in some of their Vegan Options. Also, I wasn't impressed with the place to begin with.
Community Beer Co. looks like a viable option.
elisabethofaustria@reddit
Ah, never mind, then you don’t want to go to Community Beer Co.! It’s good but nowhere near Arlington. For some reason I thought you were going to the Cidercade in Dallas.
Thanks for the heads-up about The Dream Tacos, that’s really unfortunate! How’d you find that out?
Also, what about Seven Mile Cafe? It’s a chain, but all locations are in DFW, and it’s great for brunch. I think the Lewisville location is on the way to Arlington.

I found the review- it was on Happy Cow.

Not vegan friendly - do not come here
They have several items on the menu labeled as vegan that are not. They have several sauces listed on the “vegan” tacos section that contain both egg and dairy - confirmed with the manager. Our waitress said she had received several complaints and the owners haven’t modified the menu to remove the non-vegan sauces from the “vegan” tacos. For anyone gluten free, they also couldn’t tell us what options did or didn’t contain gluten.
It sucks because what they’re doing looks very creative, but their lackluster attitude towards food allergies is insane.

Thanks for sharing! That’s ridiculous and I won’t be visiting again.
GrandTrineAstrology@reddit (OP)
You're welcome. I don't know why you didn't pop in my head that it was happy cow right away, but I knew it was something that I felt was seemed legit. But I personally haven't checked with them, because I wasn't really vested into the place to begin with. My daughter-in-law loves the place though .
GrandTrineAstrology@reddit (OP)
I can't remember where- either on Reddit, Tik-Tok or a review. I know the time I went, I asked a lot of questions and the wait staff was hesitant in their replies. Regardless, I thought their food was just ok. Place looks cool, but food was meh.

V House in Bishop. Entirely vegan though.
GrandTrineAstrology@reddit (OP)
There's so many great vegan restaurants I want to try. I wish I lived closer to the downtown/ Bishop arts area
Blue-Eyed-Chica@reddit
There used to be this amazing vegan Asian restaurant right off 35 and Royal that made in-house seitan. No idea if they are still open.

I cannot believe my favorite astrologer on Reddit is posting in r/Dallas rn. Crazy crossover!
54th Street is probably one of my go-tos (vegetarian) for chill sort of pub style fare. I would call and ask first though and they have egg listed as an allergen in their veggie burger and I am not sure if it’s in the aioli (which you could request without) or if it’s used as a binding agent in the veggie burger.
It would likely be out of the way for you but just as a general suggestion, Vegan Food House and Casa del Vegano both in Bishop Arts are good! And both are totally vegan but their menus are so expansive that unless someone who is omnivore just absolutely must have meat in their dish, they should be able to find something.
Will also second Rodeo Goat that someone else threw out in the comments.

I thought I could go incognito over here! lol ;) Thanks for the compliment! :)
I am actually thinking of changing our outing to the Cidercade in Dallas on 2777 Irving Blvd #200, Dallas, TX 75207 and even though no one mentioned it, I think I want to go to Jinya off of Walnut. I'm now waiting for something to persuade me to something else.
I have been wanting to go to the Vegan Food House and Casa del Vegano. My son is very open to this but the other 3, especially the 11 year old, would not be happy.
Ninja Ramen looks good- I am pinning that in case if they insist on Arlington instead of the Dallas location.
I appreciated the suggestions! :)

There are multiple Rodeo Goat locations, and they have vegan burger options. (Neil Young burger with either the veggie or Impossible patty but hold the green goddess dressing.)
mike_lowrey214@reddit
I would go to the Cidercade in Dallas to give you more options. Rodeo goat offers a vegan patty that can be substituted on any of their burgers. Culinary Dropout on Irving Blvd, Lucky's Cafe on Oak Lawn, and Las Palma's in Uptown are a few viable options as well.

Maybe Chopping Roots?
She's usually at the Frisco Farmers Market on weekends. If the kids are super picky they can eat something else since there's other vendors, too.
There's picnic tables at the market or you can take it to one of the parks nearby. Frisco Commons is a nice park with playgrounds if the kids are into that. It's maybe 5mins from the market.

True Food is very good. For options near/in Dallas, I also recommend Blue Sushi Sake grill in uptown (amazing and unique vegan roll options), Baboush also in uptown, Zatar Lebanese in Deep Ellum, Bangkok on Beltline in Richardson, or Family Thais in West End.
For places specifically towards Arlington, I don’t know as many, but Andalous Mediterranean buffet, Mellow Mushroom, and Twisted Root have good options (Twisted root actually only has one veggie burger, but it’s good and they have pickle barrels).
GrandTrineAstrology@reddit (OP)
Yeah, I love Blue Sushi but I went there last weekend! :) Andalous Mediterranean buffet looks great but I know my grandsons would not be happy there.
I've thought about Twisted Root and Mellow Mushroom, thanks for the suggestions.
ImNotGoodatFunny@reddit
Just FYI, Andalous usually has some chicken tenders and fries etc. on the buffet.
CatteNappe@reddit
I second Andalous. Have been to their Richardson location. My vegan friend loves the many option, the carnivores don't feel the least bit deprived, since it's buffet the "picky" eaters can limit their intake to grilled meat and bread if they want.

There are a few Mediterranean restaurants around.

True Food Kitchen is good.
You could go to Legacy Hall (upscale food court near True Food) and eat at Vegan Vibrationz, while everybody else eats wherever they want. Then you could get a vegan devils food cupcake at Sprinkles.
At Grandscape, you can find vegan options at Thirsty Lion (beyond burger or garden power bowl) or Quartino (I usually get the marinara pizza or spaghetti al pomodoro). Then you can walk to the Baked Bear for a vegan ice cream sandwich.
Mexican Bar Company at Willow Bend has some good vegan options.
Jeff's Vegan in Frisco. It's all vegan and Asian-owned, but they have burgers. It's not fancy, but they are good people and deserve the business.
Longjumping_Bowler25@reddit
Lazy Dog if there’s any chance of y’all stopping there. Nice selection and will do speciality requests if they have the ingredients
GrandTrineAstrology@reddit (OP)
Lazy Dog has one vegan option and it is just OK. But thanks for the suggestion.
JonasSharra@reddit
Fondoue or Indian should be able to get you a lot of options
