Infiniti teases QX80 R-Spec show car for SEMA; are they thinking of making a "performance QX80"?

Concept cars and SEMA show cars lead to nowhere all the time, but the timing makes me think somewhere internally Infiniti is debating some kind of sporty QX80, amusing idea or not. As said, it's entirely possible this goes nowhere and is more just to keep the brand in the public eye and only the current QX80 and QX60 are surviving the wave of product cancelations at Infiniti (Q50, QX50, QX55), so they have few vehicles to work with. And high-performance Infinitis lack a track record of entering production (see the various sporty Q50 and Q60 concepts which went nowhere). But nevertheless this news got my attention.
