What are the reasons for youth crime and violence in the UK?

I'm from EU, so I might give you some different perspective: I noticed this kind of behaviour loooong time ago, well before covid, cost of living crisis or whatever is blamed now for this. I will always remember the stress and shock when, for the first time ever, I witnessed 12+yo kids throwing stones at the bus. And I was the only person surprised. Bus being driven by a driver, with people inside. Perfect target, it looks like. Kids in this country are dangerous, reckless, very aggressive and arrogant. Not all of them, obviously, but the pattern can be seen. Why? I'm sure that this is due to more than one factor. My non-British eyes see complete lack of any control over kids. They are allowed to whatever they want, until obviously, they do something wrong, but this is too late. One can NOT address any issues with someone kids. If you do this, you are going to be attacked. There is visible pattern of "this is just a kid" attitude - even when a teenager is killing another teenager. Nobody, including media, is even trying to address the link between parents and children: parents aren't blamed for anything, even if we are talking about serious problems with young kids. This is shocking even after nearly 2 decades of living in UK.
