Flying from Nashville to Tampa/Lakeland (destination Clearwater) & dates are set in stone. Tips for most savings?

We had planned an 8-day vacation to Clearwater with family, hotel & food paid, & transportation our only responsibility. Due to recent unforeseen vet bills, our preferred timeline has shortened to November 10th (evening) to November 14th. Due to this downscale, we would prefer to fly, as we’re coming from Kentucky. Are there any ways to maximize savings on a round-trip (although one-way isn’t out of the question) flight from Nashville to Tampa or Lakeland? I’m seeing $200-250 prices for round-trip, & wondering if that’s the best we can get.

Sorry it doesn’t answer the airline question (other than I think that’s a good price) but I just want to confirm that you plan to rent a car? Hopefully yes, it will save money! Uber/lyft is going to be expensive and you pretty much need to drive everywhere in Pinellas county. From TPA to a neighboring county I spent $65 one way last Monday using Lyft

Clearwater Saint Pete Airport has several bargain airlines that fly in there.. I am not sure if there are any routes between there and Nashville, but worth taking a look. Lakeland is a bit of a hike, depending on where in Clearwater you are staying.

Actually, look at Avelo Airlines. It's a budget airline, but I've taken that flight from LAL to BNA & back multiple times. They only fly on certain days. I believe it's like Mon & Thurs, something like that.
