Thousands demand humane future for Marineland’s belugas, say no to euthanasia.

The belugas can’t stay silent any longer. For years they brought joy to people, and now they’re being forgotten. Marineland profited from their lives but refuses to take responsibility. The government stays silent too. Yet the answer is simple: choose life over death. These gentle giants deserve a peaceful sanctuary — to feel the sea again, to breathe in freedom. Thousands have already spoken because compassion still exists. Let’s raise our voices and give them the life they’ve earned.

Beluga caviar comes from Surgeon fish, not Belugas…

From Wikipedia:
Beluga caviar is caviar consisting of the roe (or eggs) of the beluga sturgeon (Huso huso).
The fish is found primarily in the Caspian Sea, which is bordered by Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan.
It can also be found in the Black Sea basin and occasionally in the Adriatic Sea.
Beluga caviar is the most expensive type of caviar, with market prices ranging from $7,000 to $22,000/kg ($3,200 to $10,000/lb).

I hope some “good” billionaires like TSwift or Marco Rubio do something for these innocent animals who can’t speak or fight for themselves against the destruction caused by us humans after the advantage we’ve taken of them for our own sick entertainment.

I know they cant be free to be released into the wild on their own to fend for themselves, but has anyone brought up the idea of a soft-release? Provide food for them at a designated spot but otherwise allow them to swim in a bay or other accessible location? Are there issues outside of cost and boat-impacts?

A huge part of the problem is that have been raised with antibiotics and things so they would endanger wild belugas the same way moden people endanger non-contact civilisations

They're not being forgotten. Marineland has an obligation to take care of their animals, whether or not they can afford it. The Canadian government stopped the sale of them to China, because they would continue to be exploited. Personally, I don't blame them. It's long past time that the world stops looking at cetaceans as fodder for our entertainment. No animal should ever be exploited in this way but it's even more significant when it's a creature that is sentient, and there is a lot of research out there saying they are. Time we put an end to these kinds of exploitative practices and let them live in peace.
As far as a solution, I don't have a constructive one. We just can't continue to use other species on this planet for our entertainment. It's foul.
