# Your post has been removed. The UK is made up of over 70 million people, from over 100 different countries from all over the world, 99% of whom are living their lives perfectly normal, it's as safe, if not more, than any other city. There will always be pockets of crime, turmoil, and hostility in every country; however, what you're seeing is through a magnified media lens, designed to amplify the 0.1% disruption in an otherwise 99.9% safe city. Yes, there is crime, yes people are victims of it, but there is nothing to suggest that the UK is less safe than anywhere else. If you're still unsure, contact your local foreign office travel information, or look at crime statistics and decide for yourself. ___ If you're worried about recent events, use your instincts and gut feeling, and if you're unsure, don't take any risks.
