Pulpit repair in Portsmouth/Norfolk Va

Does any one have a recommendation for a marine metal shop? We're stopped at a marina in Portsmouth for a few days and a big motor cruiser bumped our bow yesterday. The pulpit was bent pretty dramatically and they knocked off the nav light. I think I also want to have a rigger in to inspect the forestay and chainplates.

WOOF. I can’t make any recommendation as I’ve not yet needed this service yet, but hopefully the motor cruiser stopped and exchanged insurance info? Did this happen underway, at anchor, or in port?

We were tied up in a transient slip. The motor cruisers are annual slip holders here and were pulling into a nearby slip. They were extremely apologetic and got us copies of their IDs and insurance docs right away. We've been in touch with their insurance guy already and it looks like they're even going to cover dock fees if we have to stay for longer than we were originally booked for.
We talked to a whole bunch of yards and machine shops yesterday and ended up going with Norfolk Machine and Welding. They picked up the pulpit a few minutes ago. Fingers crossed for a quick return. There's a rigger from Quantum coming tomorrow to do an inspection.
So far things have gone pretty smoothly. I'm half relieved and half waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Glad to hear they’ve been super helpful and that you’ve found shops!
