Where's the best place to get a truly great breakfast taco that's not a chain?

I'm new to the area and still figuring things out. I've tried a couple of the big chain places, but I'm looking for that spot with the homemade tortillas and amazing salsa. I'm in the Addison area but willing to drive a bit for something legendary.
What's your go-to spot and what should I order there?

Paula’s in arlington. Legit San Antonio style breakfast tacos.

Fuzzy’s didn’t used to be a chain. The original one is right by TCU. Pretty far from Addison though.

Compared to Austin or San Antonio, the quality breakfast taco options in Dallas are pretty sparse. That said I’ll parrot La Victoria’s breakfast burrito as fitting the bill for you.
The Green Spot on N Buckner has really good little pre-made breakfast tacos, El Tio on E Grand is a good local option as well.
Taco Joint is probably the highest quality breakfast taco spot despite being a chain. Nothing better than an Otto with some doña sauce.

Just a tad outside of addison.. Salsa verde and get anything!
also just outside of addison.. Breakfast burritos = Montes. My goto here is the Carne Guisada but I like them all. They have some of my favorite green sauce in the metroplex.

FYI, that’s a chain.

I assumed op meant places like torchys, velvet taco, taco joint, etc but thanks for correcting me.

I know you're looking for tacos but La Victoria on Haskell has a great breakfast burrito.
