Is $2,500 for 227k miles a scam?

I bought a 2010 Mazda 3 with very high mileage. Don’t flame me guys I know I probably overpaid I was just desperate for a vehicle. And this car that I purchased was from my mobile mechanic that I trust. And the car was in great condition, well taken care of despite its mileage. However I feel like I still got dicked. Feel like it should’ve been $1,900 at the most. Let me know what you guys think.

You paid money and got a car. That’s not a scam. It isn’t even necessarily a bad overpay depending on condition and market.

Without having more info, the general value of the car is about $4000.

Doesn’t matter. It’s yours now. You’ll find things wrong with it. It’s $2500.

In this market depending on where you live it is like a standard price. Could you have done a little better sure but in your price range anytthing is a gamble, it aint 2005 you cant spend 1500$ and get a clean miata or something

Never buy a car from a mechanic they say, there's a reason for them selling it.
It's impossible to get a good car for under 2500 bucks these days. You got what you paid for, not a great deal but it's a car and hopefully lasts you a year or two. We have no way of knowing the condition or the future.

Youll find out once you put some miles on it.
