Hey guys,

Thinking about picking up a 2014 991.1 GT3 Clubsport — plan to use it mostly for weekend track days and the occasional drive to work.

I’ve read all the stuff about the early 991 GT3 engine issues (connecting rods etc.), and honestly that’s the only thing making me hesitate.

The one I found looks great — full history, no accidents, super clean overall — but those old horror stories about engines blowing up keep popping into my head.

So yeah, curious to hear from people who actually own or track a 991.1: • Should I still be worried? • Did Porsche really sort the issue out? • And does that rep still hurt resale value?

Would love to hear some real-world experiences before I pull the trigger.
