Apartments that have pest control

Looking for apartments that have good pest control in the NE Dallas/Lakewood area. Is it in your lease that if you see roaches, other than monthly spraying, that they handle ASAP? All the stories are freaking me out about infestations after moving in. It's the south, so expect insects but the German roaches seem to be a huge problem in Dallas.

All of them should have some type of pest control. If they didn't, tenants could break their leases over the issue (I'm not an attorney, seek one for legal advice, blah blah).
The best way to avoid critters is to always rent from the newest constructed places. New construction does not mean most expensive either. Even affordable housing units can be found in brand new buildings.

My apartment (in lake highlands) claims to spray for pests but in the 4 yrs I’ve lived here I haven’t ONCE seen them do anything about bugs. My husband, who WFM, says he’s seen a few here and there but doesn’t tell me because of my extreme fear of them. I have a can of roach spray i put on my windows, doors, corners of rooms. But mostly i try to not leave crumbs or food out. It’s minimized my encounters with them but i don’t think it matters much if your neighbors are messy/dirty and you just don’t know that until you move in and live there for a while.
